Honestly if fusion fall got a modern update i think it would do really well, a lot of games miss the charm of what made this special and would be good to get kids interested in the old cartoon network shows

(Then starwars the clone wars online) followed immediately by fusionfall when i moved away from my friends who played the first game at all, never having a chance to talk to new friends about it. One whole friend since middle school even remembers this game (likely because the parents of those kids preferred the pedophile content called Nickelodeon and Disney Channel)

I remember liking this a lot back when it was released since I loved the idea that all the cartoons from Cartoon Network(this was back when most of their shows were good too) all existed in one world where they worked together with the players to fight off the invasion.
Hey I just wanna say thank you for covering FusionFall as a pretty big UA-camr. I really hope this game gets a decent bit of traction again so that it's gamestate is lively like it was years ago or even just half as lively tbh. I sincerely miss the days of when I played this for the first time and have always wanted to finish the game but never have due to the fact it's so grindy and by the time you get to grinding there aren't enough things to do outside the linear grind to keep me interested, at least without anyone to play with. But I do still want to complete it and it looks like I'll be trying again soon enough :D
It got a nice bit traction with Retro...until some player threw a tantrum and got CN to issue a cease & desist I don't understand why CN cares so much about securing their old property...but they don't want to use that property themselves for anything.. With the original, it was very simple...low traffic means low profit ...but with Retro, the demand was there, but, they still wanted to suppress it ...it makes no sense to me 🤷♀️
I've been playing Open Fusion for like a year. Used to play this back in the Academy era of Fusionfall so like 2011 I believe?? But The Academy one is basically the character in the OG/retro Fusionfall did stop the future from being fucked in some way and now they have a chance to actually fight Fuse in the the Academy version.
Academy is what happened after the player returned from the future with the knowledge of nanos and fuse dexter/dexlabs the Plumbers and Providence work together to make a training course for future recruits to learn about fuse and nanos
one of the best MMO's in my opinion, i remember when it first came out back in 2009 and i had a blast even though i kinda got stuck in a level 28 zone as a level 6 Lmao,

I played Fusionfall before it use to be called Fusionfall. Cartoon network had this game called Minimatch that was like a topdown 2d browser mmo in like 2008 that was basically a test version of Fusionfall before they released the game, only ogs know of Minimatch
This game was an amazing addition to my life, not to mention the map and its size not big but perfect many quests and such. Even with the whole Generator Rex addition and new areas i remember glitching into those areas and just chit chatting with the new players and pretty much just being the cool kid with flapping angel wings in a level 1 area, this game was just great imagine if Cartoon Network would make a new one.

I'm not sure what he told them...but, all of sudden their legal team contacted Retro's developers and issued a cease & desist letter. Personally, I'm just a gamer and not a lawyer or anything, but I read the letter, and I really think they had a lot of room to negotiate with CN. The devs are nice guys, but they were a little skiddish, so they instantly complied and everything Retro or Legacy-related came to a grinding halt. It really is a shame. We spent years camping on the forums waiting for Retro to be finished...and it only seemed to last a year or so I think :(

I remember being so young , my neighbor who I was friends with came over to my house and showed me the game, we played and had fun, eventually he stopped playing, I continued up until a point then stopped playing , such good times

I had the clock work gear for being a early player. I tried faxing the forum to prove I as old enough to unlock the full chat like 3 times and it never worked lol. Man so many good memories from this game it had an amazing world feel! Things I remember the most is climbing the KnD tower (and various other buildings), the amazing ed edd n eddy cul-de-sac, super cool hoverboards and cloud mounts, the cool rail trolley system that took you around the map safely, the creepy Middle of Nowhere map and the devil canyon maps, the futuristic city areas,trying to land on the foster home, and more. Such an amazing game for kids back then.
You know, I was either 8 or 9 when I was playing fusion fall, which was the academy version at the time. but it shut down due to lack of players over the years, a loss in profits and a lack of direction. But that’s when I learned that there is a private called openfusion, when I checked it out, I was shocked that it actually works, It was probably around September. It brought me so much nostalgia and now I can play it again after so long, and I play fusion fall original and academy to this day. (Haven’t played retro)

Not only did I play this in 2009 when it required the subscription cards, I also played Pirates of the Burning Seas which took 72 solid hours to download the game which totaled to around 14 Gigabytes in size. If only you could see my face drop when I saw the time remaining estimate.
When this game came out, I just assumed that it signaled the end of the bad games made with TV show characters. It always seemed like the people who made it really cared about it. Like, it feels like the securitron mk. 1 (fallout new vegas) Of a video game. It has a great setup, it just needed to be polished.
I remember playing this way back when with my brother whenever I'd come home from school. Such a good game, I was absolutely distraught when they removed it and replaced it with the god awful FusionFall Heroes. Either way, good memories. :)

YEEEEESSS, I was so happy when I got to play this with Retro, but then it got shut down and I didn't even got the chance to at least take a screenshot of my character 😢
I'm glad I get another chance, I'm gonna see if I can get my character to be level 16, because that was the level I was on when those servers died 😅
I guess the reason why they brought back kids from the past was because in this future a lot people died and now they’re the resistance and so they thought it was good idea bringing kids from the past.💀
omg i loved this game but my pc was so bad back then i had like 10 fps but i was still playing it lol😂
and me and my friend wanted to play together but we didnt know how to so we never played it together so we just played on our own and then the next day we would talk about it good old days
probably the first and only mmorpg i ever played i remember i wanted to play wow when i was watching my friend playing it cuz it was huge open world game and my favorite games are open world games so i really wanted to play it but my pc wasnt strong enough to play it and i didnt have internet
