What a Wet Farm Property! - 1/10/24

After a beautiful snowy couple of days the rains came and washed it all away.
One of the major issues with this property is how wet it is. Between the water and the rocks it's never been great for row crops, and has always lent itself to livestock. Livestock can walk out of the wet areas, plants cannot.
Today I walk you through the back of the property and we take a look at how the water is flowing across the land, and discuss what to do about it.

Unbelievable how much water is running through. You could make the whole place a pond… pastured bass? Is that a thing?

I mean, we could definitely make some formidable ponds here. No doubt I could better manage the water with some key line principles. I am not taking it that far. Now I am clearing invasive and creating nature paths.
