August 8, 2022 - Another Moonlit Aurora

A short timelapse from a display of Aurora Australis, shot from Oreti Beach near Invercargill, New Zealand on August 8, 2022.
The initial red colour in the fading sunset is said to be due to the ash from the Tonga volcano earlier this year.
Bright moonlight lit the scene, as did a number of 4wd vehicles testing out their bright light bars.
