Amazing Aurora Australis - New Years Eve Eve ;) December 30, 2022

- Thought we were done for the year but a Summer display of Aurora Australis, photographed from Oreti Beach, near Invercargill on the southern end of New Zealand.
Started photographing at approx 10:30pm NZDT and as the twilight faded the aurora became evident. Visible to the naked eye, although not in the colours that the long exposure shows. Was worried the clouds were going to spoil the show but they cleared and some time after midnight the activity went insane :) Ceased photographing at 4am New Years Eve as the coming dawn was washing out the ability to see the aurora.
Camera gear: Canon 6D, Samyang 14mm lens, Miops Smart+.

@@JediTimbob , ok, so i will tell you… I stop my microwave few seconds before the time finished during "dinner time" so, when i wake up and watch "0:34" i said, "Beautiful i will have a look"! and voila! Very sorry for the inconvenience!

The Miops+ may be able to do the ramping but I haven’t figured it out yet so this was mostly me doing my best to adjust and then running it through LRTimelapse in processing. It struggled with the holy grail twilight at both ends of the video. May have to try splitting it up and doing two halves to see if it can do the holy grail transition better
