As you mentioned in the video, the most important are pilots followed by tankers. After that, I would suggest an engineer. If you know what you are doing, you should be building a lot of rally points, so you need a good engineer who can build these quickly. I think most people do not run engineer squads, so upgrading the engineers might be a problem, that is why you can just buy a gold-order engineer with good perks for 1 or 2 of your squads. Another option that you also mentioned is upgrading your squad by picking specialists, whose squads you have not unlocked yet. But this is mostly useful for an engineer and radioman as everybody else requires and relies on a special weapon (LMG, AT rifle) or a special squad (flamethrower, mortar) to be used. You can still buy other classes for this purpose if you have a special weapon from the event or from a gold order. When I was just starting the Normandy campaign, I got some Besal LMG's from the event. I did not have an MG squad, so I bought a gold-order MG guy, game him Besal, and included him in my assaulter squad. This was the best soldier in the squad, as everybody else had M3's or rifles. For the late game, the gold order soldiers are not very important, you can just buy what you like: legendary people like Audie Murphy, people with interesting names or appearances, specialists from squads you do not want to upgrade, etc.
Call me weird but I like to role play with them, keep them as one of my main soldier I choose when loading in and role playing as they be fighting for so long the new members in the squad looks up to him
We need Rambo as a gold order soldier. OP perks, and cosmetically no shirts with muscles, headband, military grade fatigue pants and combat boots. Last can be used for all nations.

yes, they do but they usually announce ahead of time which weapons are rotating out, and they don't rotate out every time a battle pass comes out.
