It seems like I'm the only one here in 2020 hahah. I'm 15 y/o and I've discovered a lot of good music during quarantine, but this song is definetely the, or one of the bests. It makes me nostalgic even though I've only known it for like 6 months... well and right now idk what's going to happen with the world, and all of this coronavirus thing... y'all were lucky to grow up with this kind of music, but I'm still thankful to be able to listen to this masterpiece.
This song takes me back to the summer of 96 when I was in my 2nd year at uni..I'd just started getting into Ash and I found this single at a local 2nd hand record shop.
It does. Listening to this always reminds me of going to a particular nightclub when I was at uni. A guy in my corridor at halls had a huge Ash poster on his walls. Was so long ago. I feel the same as you about songs from the early 80s.
"free love on the free love freeway, the love is free and the freeway"s long" Ain't going home cuz my babys gone.... She's deaaaaaaaaad. She's not dead!!!
It kind of makes me laugh that people talk about how much they love Charlotte on this video but this song was a hit before she was in the band. And 1977 was their best album and she wasn't there for most of it!!! I do really like Charlotte but Ash were great before her too!
Thanks for uploading this!!!! I love them!!! I can't listen to this song without remembering my adolescent years!!! I was obsessed with this song, still am!!!!
moonpools and caterpillars HEAR,HUM star, girl from mars ASH,PJ harvey down by the water,Possum Dixon - Watch The Girl Destroy Me,Tripping Daisy - I Got A Girl, stone temple pilots art school girlfriend, flaming lips she don't use jelly
@bohochic1234 she had nothing to do with 1977, I love ash from Trailer, Live @ The wireless and 1977, the albums released after she joined, in my opinion were not of the same standard. Much poorer and pop'ier

Any artist/s who can sit on chairs and romp their tracks accoustically are true artists.

Can imagine this song carrying heavy nostalgia if you were there for the scene.
Annoyingly, I was born a year after this was released.
Love this song! Never get bored of it!!!

great tune.
Girls still feel as if they were from Mars. Nevermind
this is the one song that describes my wife perfectly. great band just a pity that Charlotte left - it was like Jack and Meg
Free all angels is an amazing record.
TheLastFraudster Candy was the girl from mars and she never knew the walker brothers! she swore on the holy bible and told Tim to believe!
would anyone be able to recommed some other good ash songs?
