That throw to Lazard in the back of the endzone; he wouldn't have thrown that last year. I'm so damn happy he is trusting what he's seeing and above all else: trusting his guys to make the play. Great video Jt!
I don’t think so either. I think Aaron has been working hard this offseason, he looked like 2010 Rodgers. I think he will make some insane throws this year. Defenses are gonna get exposed
Any Packer fan who has kept up with the team week to week knows he’s still elite. He’s been let down by some questionable coaching and roster management at the end of the McCarthy era. Love what LaFluer and Gutekunst has done so far with the team so far. Go Pack Go!
Guys, I fully remember the 2016 run the table season. Rodgers played lights out then too. At the end of the day, I am just happy be is tearing it up right now.
As a GB fan, really happy to see MVS and Lazard involved and making big plays. MVS had a big drive-ending drop, but made enough other plays to provide some confidence and momentum going forward. Lazard appears to have picked up where he left off last year. Anxious to see AJ Dillion get involved a bit. Really need better play from Jace in the passing game - can't give him the 'rookie TE' pass anymore.
MVS has to get his drop problem fixed. Will be costly in the future if not fixed. Lazard looks solid. Dillon should get eased in step by step. Jace has to step up. Jace and more passes to RBs could be a way to surprise teams in the future.
@@adrianbuck8772 Agreed on MVS. Then again I can remember the year or two when we all called Adams "Dropvante". It's a skill that players can improve in even after being in the NFL for a bit.

Anyone who has put Rodgers out to pasture because his "skills are fading over the past few seasons" forgets that he played on a broken leg all season long 2 years ago and in doing so changed his footwork for the worse to protect his leg . This season you can see the manhas corrected this issue and is using both feet in his throwing again like before the break ! the hit he took looked so much like the Alex Smith break it is a miracle he did not break it much worse that night and still came back to lead the Packers to a coaching change and this team we have today ! Gute drafting Jordan Love has always been a huge waste of a pick and Rodgers is anything but ready for the NFL network desk ! Watching Rodgers play has been one of my lifes greatest joys ! The man is by far the best player I have ever seen play QB ! I watched Marino , Montana and Brady and no one comes close to Aaron Rodgers !
Got Rodgers in the 9th of my fantasy league. Absolute steal. Have no idea why people think he would suddenly become an average QB after being one of the top QB's for a decade already. Dude was learning a new system and still had over 4000 yards and barely any interceptions. Looking forward to the State Farm (Super) bowl next year. Go Pack Go.
I got him too but he's still sitting behind Russell Wilson who outscored him this week! Still I'll sub them out based on matchup if Rodgers can keep performing like this
Bro, Rodgers at 9th is not a steal lmao. I don't draft QBs until like the 8th round and I still got a very good QB. Didn't get Rodgers or Mahomes, mind you, but even if you were targeting Rodgers I'm pretty sure you could've waited at least until round 3, at least
Hey man, I don't need a video on it, but I'd love for you to look at Minshew's plays this week. The first video I saw of you was the Minshew one and even though I was a fan of the Jags I liked what you were doing I took the info as you'd know better than I would. Your main point I remember was footwork and ever since I've been looking at feet during plays, watching for heel clicks and how they drop back. Minshew said he worked alot on footwork in the offseason and I think the game against the Colts showed that, he didn't look near as sloppy and went 19-20 on passes off the proper base he was setting for himself. Not all perfect, but definitely improved. Thought you'd enjoy taking a look at it, again, I don't need a video. Thanks for the content!
On that TD to Lazard, I think it's crazy how AR is running and the linebacker is blocking his view to Lazard. So when he hesitates as if he might bring it in himself, the LB stops giving him a clear line to make that sideline throw. Next level stuff.
on his throw at 4:29, I know it's nit picking but why doesn't Rodgers just wait a half second longer to let MVS continue to work vertically and he hits him in stride as he rans into the end zone. Obviously laser of a throw and a great play, but MVS comes up just short of the goal line. And the safety over top isn't close enough to make a play so he's got room over top.
One thing you didn’t mention on his touchdown throw to Lazard while rolling to the right (second to last play you analyzed) was the use of his movement to get Lazard open. You can see the linebacker on the goal line is mirroring Rodgers as he rolls to the right. He moves where Rodgers moves. If Rodgers kept rolling to the right, the linebacker would have been in the throwing window of Lazard and it would have likely been intercepted. But Rodgers stops his feet, and the linebacker stops as well. That allowed Lazard to get open behind the linebacker and Rodgers throws a laser.
Hey JT, I have a question. When Aaron is trying to draw the D offsides, how do the offensive players know when the actual snap is coming? Is it something that’s called in the huddle or addressed within the play call?
I dislike comparing UA-cam channes, because each channel caters to a different audience. However, I found this channel right after sitting a UA-cam recommended me Brett Kollmann. Sitting through his video was like watching a 10 min hype machine. Ngl, his clickbait title got me (It was about how Sam Darnold was AMAZING). But watching this one, I'm actually learning something. It's like night and day when I listen to you since you actually know what you are talking about. I know I'm only one subscriber, but I hope QB School gets way more sub. This channel has a criminally low number of subs and views for what it offers.
Just discovered the channel, absolutely love the analysis, fantastic work. Might be a bit biased as a huge Packers fan lol. Also i'm terribly sorry if this is a common question, but you've got all your equipment in the description EXCEPT that microphone arm, which i'm extremely interested in. Any chance on info about that? Looks awesome, holding up that heavy sm7b sideways.
I still don't think there's ever been anybody better than prime Rodgers. He's the best thrower of the football ever...strength, accuracy, release, from any platform. He's really a great athlete, although he may have lost a little of that over the years. But he runs to make big plays, not to get 5 yards. And as his ex-QB coach coined it...he has a "beautiful mind"...basically his intelligence is off the charts. Unfortunately he's had to carry McCarthy and the packers for years. I really would have loved to see him play in an offense like the Chiefs or even the Cowboys with all that talent around him...can you imagine?
IHCTerra His offseason work is actually the biggest reason he got better this year. Rodgers is the one of the smartest qbs of all time, a first year in a system for him is not like a first year in a system for almost any other qb. Coach Lafleur said he understood every concept, play, and pre snap adjustment that could be done within that offense before the first preseason game last year.
IHCTerra Okay... Rodgers has played with Davante Adams since 2014, still missed passes to him all year last year that should have been made. He had too many throws with bad form off back foot, and legs were not being used enough in his throws. This isn’t me saying this, Rodgers said this himself. Of course the team is going to get better in year 2 of an offense, but I am specifically speaking on bad form and bad mechanics that Rodgers seems to have corrected via offseason training, which is exciting. And yes, I do think a fire was lit with the Love signing. Maybe the GM Gutenkust was playing chess while everyone was playing checkers. They think he’s an idiot for trading up to get Love in first round, who is now the third stringer. But could it be that Gutekunst felt that psychologically a 1st round qb is the only thing that motivates Rodgers by creating the appearance they drafted his replacement? I think it’s possible. If he takes a qb later in the draft, Rodgers would have just thought it was injury insurance and wouldn’t have considered it a threat.
Great way to start the season. Yeah the Vikes secondary was gutted, but it's still nice to perform this well on the road versus a division opponent. Thanks JT & yes plz show Minchew's performance in a game no one thought he'd pull off. 19 for 20? Unreal
As much as I hate the vikings secondary as a Vikings fan, some of those plays were just perfectly thrown by Rodgers as the cornerback had good coverage on multiple of the plays
