Good work!
Thanks for share it.
I am making my own Tom Delonge starting with a guitar that comes from the war... I think because is a disaster.
Your video is a masterpiece and I and so gratefull.
Regards from Argentina!
Thank you and good luck !
Man you make the best how to videos ❤ you explain things so well! Thank you!!
TY! I appreciate the feedback...
Very helpful. Exactly what I needed. Thank you
This helped me so much. Thank you 👍😊
it seems like this video was made for em. thanks
What are you referencing?
I might suggest a 2-meg pot and a rc network treble bleed across volume tabs. You will like 👍
Should have used the dremel on the bridge side of the pickguard. Doing it at the neck will throw the screw holes off.
They were gonna be off either way.
Great explaining this…
Q:if you have a bridge pickup and no cover plate or pick guard….How do you connect it to the bridge/tail piece? Connect it to the nut serts in the body?
Thanks again!!
Are you asking a wiring question? or are you saying that your bridge pick cavity is routed into the body of the guitar?
I don't think people can really tell a difference between most pickups as long as they are made the same such as using alnico 5 magnets. There's really no way to differentiate them. Most people who claim to hear a difference in a boutique pickup compared to a Seymour Duncan compared to a cheap Amazon pickup are deluding themselves. They're hearing what they WANT to hear!
After I finished this guitar and playing around with this pup for a while it does sound pretty good, gets the job done, but Not as much volume and high output or dynamic. It’s a great alternative for hobbyists. But a good player can make anything sound great right … thx
These are also physically not as heavy as a name brand.
Im trying to find one for my 7 string single humbucker flying v and im gonna try to follow what your doing
Nice!
Japan pickup. I have a few not the best but for the price. Try Dragonfire pick ups around 60$ to 80$ a little better
I wonder if you really get what you pay for with the more expensive pickups? I mean, it's not rocket science to make a pickup, you wind copper wire around magnets. You can buy the best pickup components for a few bucks, maybe $15.
@@joeking433 pick up a low price pickup and a expensive one you'll feel the difference.
I have a Fender Lace series pickup with 3 wires coming from the pickup white, orange, and green. Is the green a negative,? and if so where do the white and Orange go?
Very helpful, thanks. GO BIRDS!
Do you know where would you solder the ground wire with a hard tail bridge?
Thanks for making this vid too, exactly what I was looking for and to the point
TY, the ground would go to one of the bridge posts, that are set into the body.
Just put the stripped end of the wire under the bridge and then screw the bridge down on it. That's how the guitar companies do it.
Let’s get to geezz
I'm playing around with a p bass and changing it over to a lefty with the tone pots removed , pickups will go straight to volume then to the jack . will I need a capacitor or not .I don't play , it is just a project so advice would be great
Ive just bought a Harley Benton dc junior and want to stick in a humbucker for that high powered Dead Kennedys stinging bite sound on Saturday Night Holocaust..any ideas ?Seymore or DiMarzio?
Wind youe own!
Where you get the neck from? Link please
link in description, but I guess they don't sell it anymore...it's an Ebay Special, search Kmise Guitar Neck, or try Amazon, thx

No tone control??
I believe this is for the Tom delonge Strat and his has no tone control just a volume knob😁
In many cases, if one plays alot of heavy stuff, tone is hardly ever used
This is doing what Eddie Van Halen did on his Frankenstrat, one pickup one volume. The tone control does stifle some of the frequencies, or at least that is what Eddie said.
what about with a tone ?

Most new guitars come with North side of pickup towards bridge...
