Give me quite a bit of piece of mind. With the satellite communication. Either when i'm out by myself or with friends, family . I use the Ram mount system. It's cumbersome on a pedal bike but works really well on my quad or on the dash my pick up. Takes quite a bit of abuse from the trees trying to nab it.
@@nostuckmarc8682 I find the cradle for my old GPS was a better system than the spine mount this one uses. I’ve accidentally bumped it off the mount a few times, but thankfully I have a lanyard attached to it and I wrap that around the Ram arm and it keeps it from hitting the ground.

Have you used GPS on your smart phone? All Have em and a pro app is a reasonable price.
I've played around it with a bit. I find that the dedicated GPS is more accurate and I can do more with it regarding the waypoints and tracks.
Bit the bullet and bought it
