It's like watching something from a different era, a country that no longer exists. My uncle was a captain on the early Concorde crews. What a life he had! When I saw him in later years before he died he said "I sit in the garden and see them (commercial airliners) fly over. It all seems like a dream". For us too I think. Anther comment about his career that made me laugh was "Well, at least I didn't kill anyone!"

Barbados 🇧🇧 🇧🇧 🇧🇧... I had the opportunity to clean the cabin between arrival and departure, knowing then ( even in my small role as a janitor ) how special that moment was ...!!!
Wish I got to meet the crew .. it would make this video even more special..!!
Full circle and fast forward, one of the BA crafts, remain in a museum at the BGAIA 🇧🇧 🇧🇧 🇧🇧.
Thank you for this upload and wonderful memories ❤️.

How can you possibly not be moved by flying on her, or even just seeing her in the air or landing close to you? She's a National treasure and the most stunning and beautiful aircraft ever designed, I'm really disappointed that I never got the chance to experience a flight on Concorde.
Thank you very much for posting the series together for our enjoyment. 🇬🇧🇬🇧✌✌

I actually think that doing the charter flights gave the stunning aircraft back to the people who, when you look at it properly, paid for her and owned her through their tax pounds. It opened up the opportunity for people to experience the unique adventure that is flying faster than the speed of sound.🇬🇧🇫🇷✌✌

There is a great video of 1 doing flight crew training in Spain. Taking off & landing at least ten times .I think they were going out over the ocean. Hutchinson puts it into perspective saying you pass 747’s 800 mph faster than them. What an extraordinary aircraft! I read that more pilots flew the Space Shuttle than Concorde.

the more of these concord documentaries i watch, the more i realize that concord was a one of a kind commercial jet liner, and the more and more i am convinced that its disbanding was more about jealousy against england and france for their great invention of concord by the US and others , more so than not being economical.

GB service was much better pro actively serviced than the FR service. Lack of maintenance support was the end and a 35 year service life is still a long time for this design. It'll take a government to design the next one due to cost...maybe boom will try and looks promising.

To assume, “it’s jealousy, “that caused the demise of Concorde is a completely incorrect statement based on feeling rather than fact. It wasn’t jealousy as this is an EXTREMELY “IMMATURE “ perspective on what were (are) very real economic trends regarding passenger transport in the 21st century. Combined with 911, there was a worldwide downturn in the economy post 2001, a horrible tragic plane crash on Concorde which took the lives of 200 innocent people and ticket prices on aircraft were trending down even though fuel prices continued to skyrocket. This would eventually DOOM CONCORDE ECONOMICALLY. Even though it was heavily subsisidized by two vested countries, it was just too much of a financial drain and ultimately caused the bean counters in both countries to decide that Concorde was destined for the history books instead of the sky’s.....Today, the world wants low rates and efficiency rather than speed (except for a few knuckleheads like me)...Ticket Prices were going down because passengers wanted cheap travel rather than fast planes. .... I would pay the $10,000 US dollars for a round trip on Concorde.....
I have over 2,500,000 miles flying on AA and it’s affiliate carriers. I would Jump at the chance to fly as a passenger on Concorde in a New York second. Never will (likely happen) in my lifetime. One of the FEW REGRETS I HAVE IN MY LIFE WAS NOT TAKING A JOURNEY ON THE MAGICAL CONCORDE.....THANKS FOR POSTING!
