Gfriend's choreography always reflex the lyric to be honest. It was just like that. Once you get to understand the meaning of the lyric you will find the choreography interesting even for a person who has no basic in dancing like me.

This is such an emotional dance and has pieces of choreography from their previous songs as well (Rough, Fingertip, Time For the Moon Night to name a few). This song came out just as they moved away from the dramatic orchestral sound they were known for, almost like it was a goodbye to that era.
Their choreography is very lyrical....as if each moves are meant to show each words. Yes, they're telling stories through their choreographies. The more I understand Korean (still basic though), the more I understand how lyrical their choreographies are (from debut until now). Also, the feelings...the emotions they show through dancing are just beyond amazing.

As you said, one wouldn't expect to see the choreo incorporate so many details and movements given the type of song it is, but Gfriend's choreo here is packed with intricate hand gestures and footwork with constant formation changes, all executed with beautiful definition and elegance. what makes different from gfriend to other group is they tend to make the choreography look like a storyline. Just like what you've said which is the thing that I really agreed on, they just don't do a move or step, they add CHARACTER or TEXTURE to it. You can easily execute movements but having that character to make it feelings (which is really effective when conveying messages esp. emotional ones like crossroads, summer rain, apple etc. ) to your dance is not easy and gfriend did that perfectly.

So many people are blind to this and just say it is easy but they miss the subtlety and imagination involved in performing it.
