Hello Suz This is a beautiful video. I really appreciate this. Also, New subscriber here, I didn’t see the link to your frying pan in the description. Can you please help me with it? I desperately need a new pan 😫
My belly fat is so stubborn that I tried the ketogenic diet, saw some results but felt terrible. The Agoge diet on the other hand I saw the same results but felt great.
If your salt is too coarse, grind it in the spice grinder for a couple of seconds. Also, freeze your ginger knob in the freezer and then grate what you need and pop it back in the freezer. Won't go bad. From bossy great grandmother Donna 80 years old
I made the sausage casserole tonight. A few changes I made were so good. I didn't have leeks so I used a whole bunch of green onions chopped coarse. I cooked the sausage, removed from the pan and added 5 strips of thick cut bacon cut into quarter inch pieces. After that I cooked the veggies and added a half a head of cabbage. I also didn't have dijon mustard but I had coarse ground mustard. It all worked together with great flavor. Thanks for the idea!
I love chicken leg quarters!!! All the food looks amazing! I've never had leeks before and I love Vidalia onions. My ex-father-in-law introduced me to them. He cut one in half and took the center out of it and then melted butter in the center of it and served it to me like that. OMG! it was so good.
Thanks, Marna! 💜 Hope you and your Dad are doing well. My family is a huge fan of Vidalia onions too! My granddaddy used to say he could eat them on ice cream! I couldn’t believe how amazing the leeks were. I’m definitely gonna be cooking with them again soon!
I have gotta say, your food looks absolutely delicious, once the lockdown is lifted I will be moving into my own home and cannot wait to cook these meals wow. Please keep posting, definitely subscribing :) thank you x
....and here I was using canola oil for all the years I was raising my boys because in the 90's we were told it was the much better option as opposed to vegetable oil. And of course, being a young mom without Google back then, I thought I was making a better choice.
Hey Suz, I just wanted to let you know that I used your garlic chicken recipe (but I used thighs instead of leg quarters) and it was absolutely Deeeellliiissshh!!! My daughter said it was so good that she wanted seconds. It was flavorful and well seasoned. Thank you so so much for sharing your keto/low carb meals as it makes my life more simple. Cheers Dawlinka!! ❤️❤️🥰🥰
Yay!!!! You know it’s a keeper if your daughter asks for seconds! 😝 So glad that my videos are helpful. Thanks so much for sharing this with me! 💜 Such positivity really motivates me to keep filming! Cheers to you!🤙
Oh no, I hope your kiddos feel better soon! I remember dealing with all the sickness when our boys were in preschool too. These are all great recipes, Suz!❤️
Thanks, Amy! My 1 yo is doing a lot better but our 3 yo just seems to be getting worse; had a fever of 105 yesterday and urgent care just sent us home and told me to keep doing what I was doing. So frustrating! I feel horrible for them.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Wanda! 💜 It gets easier and easier as you go. When I first started out, I kept a strict count on my total carbs and then once I was fully into ketosis and losing the weight, I switched to counting net carbs and mostly maintaining.
What great recipes! I’ve lost 55 lbs by cutting my carbs a lot. I have gotten terribly bored with my recipes and ideas so these are greatly appreciated. I’m new to your channel and definitely subscribed. BTW I love how you teach, “keep it real” and your humor.
Way to go!! 👏 You’ve been working hard! So happy to have you here and so glad you’re down for the “keeping it real.” 💜 I was a little worried I was being too “ranty” in this week’s video! 😂
Tonight it is your sausage cauliflower … however due to snow storms I was able to get the sausage so I thawed some chicken, cut up into smaller pieces… really good!!
@@RRL28 Awesome! Recommend getting a few good basic items under your belt, and building your weekly meals around them to start. Example: Cloudbread. I made cloudbread sandwiches all the time when starting a keto diet. Those turned into cloudbread burgers, cloudbread leftover meatloaf sandwiches, etc. Chaffles are another really good "go-to" staple item. It looks like Suz has some good recipes here. This is a good place to start. Good luck!
Glad I found this channel. I just got on Keto and needed ideas. Wow am blown away by these ideas. Cauliflower rice!? I don’t even knew that existed. I will try soon. Great video.
Hey, new subscriber here!!! I’m finally going to get serious about my health (if I don’t I’m going to die!!) I was just told I’m a diabetic…I am 280 pounds (I weigh less than that…I’m rounding up) I ate keto for a month 2 years ago…I lost 30 pounds…I stopped keto…lost my way…and gained my 30 pounds back…I’m going to try again!!! Thanks ahead of time for the recipes!! You’re saving my life♥️❤️♥️😂😂😂Happy New year
Happy New Year to you too, Gloria! I started following a keto lifestyle due to Type II diabetes as well. It has been a life saver for our family. I thought it would be harder to stick to but as long as I don’t feel like I’m missing out on certain foods and can fix low carb substitutes that taste great,,,it’s been a pretty smooth road. I’m pulling for you!💜
I'm not on keto, but DANG these look good. I cook keto food for dinner because my parents do keto and we eat as a family. These are some awesome and simple ideas.
I will be starting Keto in September, and I am educating myself before jumping into my first diet ever. I've been reading that milk is a huge NO NO in the diet, is there an alternative that you use?
BelllMT I use heavy whipping cream in my coffee as well as most recipes that would normally call for milk. We also use unsweetened almond milk too. Good luck with your keto journey!💜
I stayed away from most sausage when I first got started, but added it back in after I was maintaining ketosis. Just got to pick the one with the best macros!😝
I really try to go with uncured meats in my recipes whenever possible; for some reason kielbasa is a tough one to find uncured. It's generally not going to spike your blood sugar though. Moderation is probably the best approach if you're not sure.
WowI love your looking videos, and believe I went through a lot of youtube on Keto cooking and couldn't get into it mentally, but your videos are well explained and easy to follow. Thank you.
Macros will vary depending on specific ingredients you choose. I use a free app called Senza to figure up my individual macros and to track them. It made things so much easier when I started out.
Newbie here! I'm new to cooking as well... This sounds so good! Thanks for sharing! I think I want to learn more keto recipes during this "shut down." Thank you again!!! Subscribed!

It blows my mind that some doctors recommend people use it.

Pull those feathers girl! 😆
😂
I'm with you, yuck to canola oil. How do you keep to 1500 calories a day?
I don’t usually keep to that and probably average around 1800 per day. 😬 I’m more focused on net carbs than calories, but I tend to eat one higher calorie meal a day and then drink coffee loaded up with healthy fats throughout the day. For me, it depends on if I’m trying to shed or maintain weight. My blood sugar is my top priority when it comes to following a ketogenic diet.
I made the chicken, it was yummy but the parsley did get burned. It a big deal I just removed it and it was so tasty.
Oh no! Glad you were able to salvage it. I feel like some of my parsley got a little too cooked as well. I think I will adjust that next time I make it.

What kind of butter do you use ?
