Great information. I discovered 5 kittens and the mother cat in my backyard yesterday. A nice lady here in my town loaned me two traps and I will start trapping tonight.
Thank you for the thorough tutorial. I will need to watch it at least 3 times to feel confident in following your directions. Thank you for showing all the visuals, very important to someone like me! >^•.•^
I'm watching this video as part of training to do TNR, Trap,Neuter and Return program. Join us and at list become informed before you might judge. Peace out. Stay Safe.
Fantastic words of wisdom and how-to demonstration! I’ve been trying for weeks, And we’ve only gotten the First-year cats so far. The older and wiser cats will need some of the tricks shown here for sure! Thank you!
Thank you again for all that you do to educate everyone about what is obviously the best way to handle feral animals. I am just so impressed with your organization. I have shared the website and training with many friends.
KFC original recipe, ok! I'm gonna HAVE to use that trick cause I have this momma that WILL NOT get ANYWHERE close to a trap and I'm looking for tips! There is a KFC right down the street, I'll try anything :-)
Can you list the approved safe traps manufactures names and model numbers? Thanks. I saw it somewhere on the Fix Nation site, but, now I can't find it.
great video. I jumped the gun. Trapped the kitten before contacting Fix Nation. Silly me. Must start over. Hopefully I can recoup, trap the kitty and move forward. but great outfit. thank you.
I'm currently feeding 3 strays and one of the stray cats I feed sometimes wheezes and coughs, and it's worrisome. She seems very fragile and gets scared very easily though she is friendly and likes pets. And another stray I feed is very old and her nose sounds very congested and blocked. I can't imagine it's easy to live like that, but she has a good appetite for how old she looks. Do these guys also help with diagnoses and treatment or just spaying/neutering and shots? Also, can I bathe them while they're still whoozy from anaesthesia after surgery? Because they're obviously dirty and I feel like that's the only opportunity I have for them to be cooperative.
I would like to know about pooping and peeing while trapped. Do the cats use the bathroom in the cages, and do we just leave it in there or should we try to change the newspapers or what?
What is the number of this Tomahawk trap in this video? Is it the 608FN - FixNation one? I would rather have this specific one in the video. Thank you!
Good video, but I am concerned about infection w/regards to fixing females. Their surgery is a bit more invasive than what males go through. How is it that we can let them go the day after surgery, when with a pet cat we're told to wait 3-4 days before allowing them outside (that is if their outdoor kitties)? I will need to watch this vid a few more times before considering myself 'educated'.
I agree. I have trapped many female cats and as long as one is not mama cat, I kept a bit longer but I put the trap in a bigger cage but not too big to move around too much to open the stitch
First trapping ever starting today... Wish me luck! 🤞🏻
How did it go? 🙏
Just completed my first ever trapping. Thank you, FixNation, for all you guys do!
Tank you FixNation

Nice video
What is the Tomahawk trap product number so I can buy the one that is recommended by FixNation? Thank you for your most needed demonstration!!!!!
Really great. Thank you. Careful never to put a hand in the cage or a finger through the side of the cage.

Do you sell those covers made by your volunteers? I would like to buy one, please.

If I could, and had the facilities to do the oophorectomy myself, I wouldn't need your clinics for anything whatsoever.
Yet, here you were. Do you have the capability yet? No?
i live in texas. so i don't know if you can help me
You can save the cat a whole lot of unnecessary trauma by covering the trap before s/he enters. Some cats die this way!!
Trap Nueter Re-dump
Very nice!
