Replacing the HVAC Dash Lights on our 2004 Toyota Tundra

Failing, older incandescent bulbs needed to be replaced on our 2004 Tundra and replacing them with a lighter blue bulb has really helped visibility and reliability! We'll do the dash/gauge cluster next!

Would you know why the footwell light and the key ring light will only turn on when it touches metal ?

I don't, guessing it has to do with the key/ignition.
