- In this Dell XPS 15 9500 sound test video I'll be showing you how to improve the sound quality on the XPS 15 and doing a sound test to show you what the new Dell XPS 15 9500 sounds like before and after some tweaks in the audio settings.
The factory audio settings don't sound that great in my opinion, but if you play around with them a bit you can greatly increase the sound quality of the XPS 15 to your personal preference.

After tying this my self, I think the high pitches are too loud. If I understood the set up I would turn the high pitch down a notch. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I just got a dell xps 15 2023 model and it literally sounds better than a 2020 macbook m1 which sounds decent too but dell is on another level literally. The dell thumps with bass kicks. People still say macbooks are the gold standard of laptop audio😂

Thanks for the video, honestly without adjusting the settings on the Waves MaxxxAudio Pro the default sound is horrible on the new Dell XPS 15. I have just bought one and everything was perfect except for this.

Yes it's great. Colours are accurate with a great quality 1080p display that upscales to 4k 👍

Good video, although the comparison wasn't completely valid because you turned off the MaxxAudio sound processing with that switch, rather than leaving it on and loading the default profile (you should save your preset so you can switch between the two).

I use dell maxx audio with maxx tune off is ok but when in rotation feel like stock one.
Can I have details of your custom settings for the Maxx audio app??
The only thing I did in the app was put my own personal EQ in which is shown in the music sound test. If you put these exact settings in the maxx audio app the experience is greatly improved especially in movies etc. Hope this helps.
my dell latitude 7490 also has the default maxx audio pro software, the sound quality just makes me surprised

Hi there does anyone know why the Streaming option (reduce noise and revive) is not working at all??? it looks like it is not active beacuse i can not press any of those buttons??? Any idea how to fix that?

i wish dell can get rid of the 1080p option, heck maybe even the 4k option and just have a 1440p screen. 1080p is too pixelated and 4k is just overkill

Tad more bass, lower the midds a bit then raise the treble have that on my Bose 700 headphones. It's all down to experimenting to find what you like 👍
mine keeps on telling me that the audio driver is not compatible how do i fix that
Check for a windows update as this solved that problem for me.
@@MyTechTalks i've been doing that for almost a month now and it shows that my drivers are up to date. My maxx audio pro crashes but when I restart my laptop it works again then suddenly crashes again in about hours of listening to music

Any way to use some other equalizer like peace apo and shut off maxxpro completely on the dell xps 15?
To be honest I'm not familiar with those so I don't really know
I somehow feel like the default setting delivers the best sound...just open the optimization, leave base and treble at default and leave the eq curve flat
I guess it's all personal choice at the end of the day 😊

Completely ruined my speakers, it was working just fine until I tried this, now it just crackles and there's no fix for it.
and the headphone jack doesn't work anymore either
Well that'll probably be due to a Microsoft update. That's what happened to mine after an update which is a well known problem with this laptop.

Also I should point out that these laptop speakers are incapable of producing bass so the fact that you are trying to boost 31hz and 63hz shows me you know nothing about tuning music with an equalizer.
