Hello. I'm thinking about doing a documentary on the Serpent Intaglio of Lyons, KS. I would love to use footage from this video and some of your other historical footage. I couldn't find another way to reach out.
Long shot here, but I'm trying to find the serpent intaglio that's supposed to be north east of Lyons. Do you locals know where it is? I can't find much online about it.
@@johnbarbour5258 it is on private property, and at the present, the current owner just died. You would have to get permission through his family. It is north & west of Little River.
@Cyndy Landon hi, I live in Lyons and I'm also interested in learning more about the site. Is there anyway I could email you or get in contact with the family that owns the property? I have a slight interest in archeology lol
@@joseluissaenz9581 I would start by going to the Museum. They have a lot of information. Waldo Wedel , archeologist, led extensive excavations on the intaglio and surrounding area. He was from Kansas and also worked ith the Smithsonian. I think he wrote publications on it. Michelle Miller, Little River, owns it. Her husband just died a month ago. There may be horses on the pasture property right now, but I don't know. I don't have a contact # for Michelle.
You wouldn't happen to have the entire video? Lived in Lyons my entire life, this is kinda interesting lol
