- It's good to know shoes are still hand-made in Maine, USA. This pair of 'Ole Maine Comfort Classic - Deerskin Lined Moccasins are handsewn using soft textured Top Grain Cowhide. A thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole.

I have a pair of these that are 25 years old. I still wear them every day. Take care of these and they could last you a lifetime. Highest recommendation.

Thanks for the review. I bought mine four years ago just based on your review, and have worn them almost every day. They're a little worn now but as comfortable as they were on day 1. I actually had to find your video again to find out the name of the company as it's worn out on mine

Oh boy - now I’m in trouble! I currently use moccasins made by a “First Nations” band just south of Sudbury, Ontario. Not as substantial as these but comfy and last me a few years. Basically indoor wear.

Are these better than Rancourt & Company?
For slippers these are perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. I've never had slippers from Rancourt & Company. But they make great shoes too.

Do you put shoe trees in the Town View Leather Moccasins? Thanks for your amazing review, i've purchased my own pair today because you sold me on them! The exact same pair.
Always use cedar shoe trees with leather, shoes will last MUCH longer. Never, ever rely on the plastic ones since they don’t absorb sweat. Also on the cedar ones, get the full heal, not just the post looking end, the full heel shoe will maintain the proper shape.

@@MidAtlanticTV Those are good but Townview doesn't make a Chukka boot. A great quality Moccasin is made by Carl Dyer Moccasins. Just my two cents.
I have looked at other mocs I have and stiching is not exposed she could not compare right moc to left and see the problem (quality control is not your best suit) you may make a good moc I don't know cause I cant wear them, did not know you were associated them, when you said we I thought you were independent party ?
my daughter bought me a pair of these moccasins for xmas 2015 did not wear them until march of 2016, found it irritated my small toe on left foot first thought it was leather tie strip that went underneath but then found that a stich that was not tight and secured enough (white) thread was the cause of the irritation placed info on card in box upon common observation comparing both moccs you could see the difference, I was told by (gayanne) they could not do anything for me and to put a band aid on my toe, hows that for service
Try Rancourt footwear, much better!!!
I have some Rancourt shoes and they are great but fo slippers I prefer these Deerskin Lined Moccasins. They are amazing!
I mean what can you do with them? They dont look like they would last long at all.
