I know nothing of Dune. Never read the books, never saw the Lynch movie, so I watched this with zero expectations. I came away stunned. two and a half hours felt like fifteen minutes. A genuine cinematic classic already.
I know I’m overreacting but Denis created a whole experience watching dune I still can’t get it out of my head…it’s hard not to call him the best director working right now
Just watched it in the theaters, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica is massively underrated she stole the show for me!
I really hope we get a directors cut or extended version or at least all the deleted scenes on a DVD. I would have happily sat there and watched 4/5hrs of Dune, it was immense and ended too soon for me. Shows i enjoyed it when i thought I'd only been watching it and hour or so when it ended amazing film.💯
Imagine being Denis after all those years dreaming to make this movie and now finally that is out, almost everyone loved it, Denis deserve all the awards I bet he is over the moon by people liking it
I've seen this movie four times and will definitely see it again for the fifth time . denis is right, there's no way you can fully enjoy this movie without the biggest screen possible. especially on IMAX with those scores made by hans zimmer
Really cool seeing Timothee and Denis behind the scenes talking to each other in French
Stellan’s performance was flawless. So grotesque and evil. Brilliant.
I will miss duke Leto 😞
You can just see the way the actors talk about the story, it really is something special.
Denis said people wouldn't want a 5 hour movie .... HE'S WRONG 😔😔😔 I want more 😟
This film is a blockbuster movie in terms of its scale, action and scope. It is also a beautiful work of art. That it does the near-impossible task of merging both so well and so effortlessly, is what makes it pure Cinema.
Hans Zimmer made this film work for me, sound made me immerse myself into this new world
"He's a warrior, but also he's a worrier" haha.
Hopefully they'd campaign Rebecca Furgeson for Supporting Actress all the way to the Oscars.
These days movies can't convince ppl that bad guys are actually bad and scary. It's not believable enough but Dune changed it for me.
Very fun to watch. I would watch a whole hour with a behind the scenes from this movie. Every aspect of it is mesmerizing!
Watched Dune knowing very little about it and was surprised how much the story was a product of 1965, the Cold War, and the fight over Middle East oil. Was a mesmerizing work of genius and can’t wait for Part Two.
I went in blind and went out blown. Literally became my favourite film ever. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the execution of each scene and the plot, everything is mind-blowing. I always love movies with thorough worldbuilding so I don't really mind the pace, although many people have said that it's quite slow. The only problem for me is that I need the sequel now 😭
The way he talks to his actors 🥺. Man I’d love to work with this man one day
