    Appreciate the detailed overview.
Everyone in the "gun community" is quick to shit on budget oriented gear and everything has to be Crye, Velocity systems, etc. Most people wont ever use their gear enough to "wear it out" or, have the budget to spend 2K on plates, a carrier, and a belt setup.
    Keep it up dude.

Yea unfortunately it is one of the more annoying components of the gun or tactical community. A major portion of guys are super helpful and offer great advice. But another big portion is super preachy and judgmental.
But hey, I guess you take the good with the bad for the most part!

Tacticon is where I’m starting with my setup. Once I’ve covered the basics, I’ll start stepping each item up in quality as I can. It’s how I do basically everything when it comes to this kind of purchase: start with passable, and then work my way up.

Thanks for the comment! I absolutely agree! That is my motto as well for most guys who are looking to start but are on a budget and can't buy all the high-end Gucci gear.
My circumstance is a bit different only because I am juggling between setting up affordable gear for home protection and training but also investing in other gear to feature and review on the channel.
For any average Joe who is just looking to get set up with the essentials it's absolutely in my opinion the best idea to start with the budget friendly stuff and work into the nicer stuff over time.

Tacticon Armament is not a fraud company my friend. If you haven't received your package I would suggest contacting customer service on their website or calling them
Could be an issue with the delivery agent (USPS, FedEx, UPS etc). Their customer service can help you track down your package or give you an update on shipping and delivery timeframe

I do the same, but i recommed looking at Aliexpress K19s.
They are made in the same factory but get the product for 70ish or 60ish instead of 110ish

May I make a suggestion? A guy who cut almost 100 lbs I have to buy all new gear but my suggestion is loose the to side pouches under the arm and also move the holster a tad forward. I tried it. And it works. Starting to see alot of people running like that

I would say "low budget" means a chicom chest rig or a Blackhawk chest rig. And nothing more.
Use those 16.9 oz warer bottles for hydration.
    $30-$60. Solid and durable.
But for someone who had a little more money, go bigger. Nothing wrong with that.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101  3 місяці тому +1

Thanks for the comment! Yea the "Low Budget Loadout" segment as it evolved became more of a feature that helped provide affordable mid to low high end quality gear ideas for guys like myself who are looking to get started and don't necessarily know where to begin.
I didn't necessarily want to feature some of the bottom of the barrel low budget gear and instead give guys options of good clone gear for essentially half the price of the Gucci counterpart. That's generally why all of my Low budget loadouts featured are a clone of a Gucci Gear manufacturer.
The aim was to give guys the Gucci look (for training, airsoft or SHTF) without paying the full Gucci price. Then eventually if they decided to transition into the Gucci they would have hopefully trained enough in the "low budget" gear to which the shift into the Gucci could be easy and seamless.
But yea, there are definitely low budget options that are far cheaper than my builds. But I am making an honest effort to give guys decent affordable good quality options that aren't scraping at the bottom of the barrel.
      Thanks again for the comment!

@@TacticalNewbie101 I respect your take and your video.
My position is "clone gear isn't necessarily the way to go" unless you are airsofting and going for a "look." In that case, I totally respect that. I'm totally on board with cheaper clone gear in that situation.
Continuing with my position, I think people for real world applications need to have durable gear. Period. And for low budgets, one selects basic gear that is low on features but does the basics and comes in at a good price point and lasts forever. 2 examples are in my first post.
But hell, I'm not the king of the world, and I understand your position. You argue it well in your reply. I'm seeing things different but you made a good video here. I'll check out the rest of your library.
Best to you! Thank you for your reply and consideration.

I absolutely agree with your take and see no flaws within that position. As a Tactical Newbie I certainly won't ever claim to have anything close to pertaining to any real position that is backed by real world combat or military experience. I admittedly am just kinda learning, adapting and sharing what I learn on the fly and in the moment as it comes to me.
I certainly welcome any input from those who have experience and are willing to share their wealth of knowledge with those who are less knowledgeable and willing to learn (like me).
Thanks again for the comment and support and by all means feel free to share any ideas, advice or recommendations as you see fit. I will certainly take them into high consideration to help improve my knowledge and the content I provide on the channel!

@@TacticalNewbie101 you are awesome man and you have a great attitude. I'm sure you will be awesome in no time!
Ok, please consider some ideas and experiences and you can accept or reject them.
I think it's more important to have basic/minimal gear that lasts a long time and I think it's important to develop your training and experience. I'll basically focus on "SHTF" because I don't think this applies to Airsoft and even with "training" I think you have a strong enough point.
In life: Context matters. So does budget.
So in SHTF you suddenly have a real need to take care of real problems. And this discussion breaks down a little because I'm choosing not to define "SHTF." Are we talking 3 days? 3 years? Fighting space aliens? Fighting gangs of desperate fathers and young men looking to put food in their bellies or feed loved ones? Those are all important things to discuss, but I want to respect your time and attention and keep this short.
I have multiple friends who have $3000 rifles, $1500 optics, $1000 plate setups, $200 lights, but no medical and 200 rounds total in the house. So thats like $6000 total? What can they actually do with that in a bad situation?
In my experience, they are Individuals, and not able to work with a group and inexperienced in the basics of shooting. They haven't practiced reloads with their gear, they have never shot prone, they have never shot beyond 100 yards, and they have never shot with a group of people before. In a squirrely situation, 10% to 30% of the people hurt on your side will be hurt BY your side! Because people didn't work to learn how to be safe/effective as a group sending bullets down range. And you learn to take cover from the enemy but you don't usually also take cover from your friends. So you are incredibly vulnerable. Those friends are fathers and sons who are lost forever.
And how long can you "SHTF" with 200 rounds? You don't have sustainability. That is 1-3 bad encounters worth. And then you have a big paperweight.
With $6000 I would suggest someone get a $1000 rifle, $200 in gear, $1000 in training, and 7000 rounds.
And practice IMTs, shooting from cover, ready ups (really simple drills), communication, and practice group work.
Another quick thought: gear doesn't grant capability. Even night vision doesn't. A Afghan translator was with a unit and they gave him night vision goggles so he could patrol with them. He ended up falling off a cliff and getting busted up. One guy asked "did you ever train with night vision?" And he said "No." It was his FIRST time ever with night vision. But he kept his mouth shut and didn't want to be the one to drag everyone down. So instead he got busted up and extracted by helicopter. The unit lost a translator and the mission was blown because of the helicopter extract.
Buying cool gear doesn't mean you can use it. In fact, buying cool gear can get you wrecked because you don't know what you don't know. So one should master crawling before trying to walk. One should master walking before trying to run.
Mastering basics is more important than getting gear. If budget is an issue, money should be put into bullets and some training.
But if someone has money for both, awesome! I don't know everyone's situation. But consider: do I really want to be effective in a real world SHTF situation? Or am I a collector of cool stuff? Both are valid, but if you genuinely want to be ready for a SHTF, I want to encourage some deep consideration and prioritization.
Just my thoughts. I can unpack anything else you want to talk about. Or give links to videos on important subjects.
I think you are on a great track!

I'm about to check out emersongears placard. They have a few that are clones of mayflower system. Close to anyway. They say airsoft but tomato tamato. Condor works why shouldn't emersongear. Would like to see tacticon do something similar. Need more mags!

      @TacticalNewbie101  3 місяці тому

Thanks for the comment! I personally like Emmersongear too! I haven't fully pulled the trigger on any of their gear just yet but they do appear to sell some good quality clone gear.
One commenter a few months ago told me that he believes Emmersongear and Krydex buy some of the same stuff from the same manufacturer and that this manufacturer basically makes a good amount of the gear for a few other companies as well.
I haven't taken a deep dive into verifying if this is true or not but he did seem pretty knowledgeable on the topic so I trust his word.
I think you will really dig my Krydex JPC 2.0 low Budget Build I plan to feature in an upcoming update in about a month or 2 (Likely October or early November)
I have the availability on that carrier to hold 13 mags in total! So be on the lookout. That loadout is quickly becoming a favorite of mine and might be a strong 1st place contender for my best overall Low Budget Loadout build.

Thanks for the comment and advice! I do have a roll one and a Amazon clone roll 1 on my Ferro Concepts Slickster the Amazon low budget clone of the Slickster and my PETAC GEAR V5 (Ferro FCPC clone)
I'm a huge fan of the roll 1 in general but want to try and offer something a bit different for shits and giggles. I have been trying to see if there are any clones of the flatline fiber co IFAK (no success at the moment)
If not I may just swap over to another clone of the Trex arms med1 pouch that PETAC GEAR sells.
Yea I do like Tacticons clone of the Haley micro rig. It's really the only closest thing by comparison to the Agilite placard setup. I haven't found anything on the market yet that is a clone for Agilite gear aside from the Tacticon Battle Vest Elite. I am aiming to make this a knock of Agilite set up.

I truly do love all your support for the channel as well as you expert knowledge of how to run a growing UA-cam channel. Since your offering this expert knowledge for free, may I recommend that you slide over to the super successful tactical UA-camr Garand Thumb and make sure to inform him as well about how his UA-cam videos should be no more then 10min at max.
He is clearly doing it all wrong because everyone of his videos average around 20-30+ minutes if not longer. Your expert advice could certainly help his successful channel become even more successful!

Thanks for the comment! I can certainly respect your subjective opinion and honestly the K-19 and Tacticon Armament clone (Battle Vest Elite) may not be for everyone.
There is a market for it though and that would at least suggest that some people both professionally and your average civilian may personally like that "dog shit carrier".
I do have a Ferro Concepts Slickster (feel free to check out my video on it) and do enjoy the slick and low profile Set-up. But I also personally like the fit and comfort of the Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite (K-19 clone)
