- We couldn't visit Fethiye without visiting its famous fish market. It's a must if you come to Fethiye. We also explore the old town & try some local foods before jumping on a boat to Şovalye Island.
Turkey is now becoming my favourite `go to` destination, and that produce at the food markets are to die for.
how beautiful! U shouldnt just go to İstanbul if u go to east of Turkey u can see very good natural places

Amazing. I'm beginning to think that Turkish people are a kinder people. Their kindness is sincere, it's in their nature. I can hardly wait to be in Izmir.
They really are.We have been going since 1995 and we found it so beautiful and the people so helpful and friendly that we just keep going back.Only managed one trip last year thanks to the virus.

We have traveled most. Of Europe in Motorhomes since 2008 we purchased our 3rd van in July 2020 but gone nowhere since our last trip to Greece 2018 so we are well jealous. Your channel keeps us sane, love it keep them coming 😎🍺🍷 we are now planning a trip t,o turkey after COVID 🤞👍🏼

LOVE that part of town. Our friend had a Carpet Shop there, we used to spend all evening there with him. Memories, Memories!! We love all the Dried Fruits. It’s great to see you all getting one so well. There is a little Crafty type shop I always had to go too to buy Ribbon & Lace at fantastic prices. It is right across from the Fish Market.

Hi Marianne & Chris ...I hope you are both well. Another great place in Fethiye,..firstly, really nice that you had company..makes it more fun :) .. Old Town looked cool as well..shame that its all closed up...and that fruit stall...wow!! What fantastic shops...another great place you have visited! The fish market was awesome too.It just gets better each time!! There is no question, when eventually we have some sort of normality, we will look at going to Turkey. the little Knights island was so lovely too.. and what you said Marianne ' Spectacular'... Worked on a Gas pipeline there a few years back from Ankara to Samson best fruit and veg i have eaten since i was a kid when you could taste things the Tomato's where great and the orange's and peaches outstanding

Another fab video! Another great place to visit with no cars is Simena (Kalekoy in Turkish) which you should be passing close to on your way to Antalya. You'd be able to get a boat from Demre (also worth a visit as it's the birth place of Father Christmas!) and they generally do boat trips that take you to Kekova, the sunken city, and Simena on the same day. Simena is famous for its homemade ice cream which is all made locally with local goats milk and fruits, yum yum!

I remember the wheels go round and round on TREAD to get to The Beautiful destination in Turkey which is open to share some of its secrets the rest of the world I look at your website sometimes to keep my sanity as the UK has been in a lockdown for 9 months I'm travelling has been non-existent what's the news right to lose your sanity sometimes but at least there's a lot of that summer when I come onto UA-cam and see your new adventure which inspired me to want to go to Turkey not just for a holiday but look at retirement and set up a new lifestyle completely slow down and go onto another platter and Lifestyle I have a lot of fun memories of Turkey but it's been a few years since the last time I was there but one thing that always sticks in my mind is to food and the Beautiful locations and the weather is always inspiring and you're guaranteed to get ice on time all you getting UK right now is nothing more than the flu it can be very down putting sometimes but you have to keep your mind and options open which I'm doing right now thanks to you Ricky and the UK xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I really enjoyed going to the markets with you. Scenery is nice but I also enjoy seeing how the locals live I. Their day to day life. Loved the fish market and the way you buy from them and then the restaurant prepares it. I would be interested to know what they do with the extra fish at the end of the day. Fresh fish only lasts a couple of days.
I wonder if the restaurants buy what is left over and freezes for other dishes. Those rabbits were beautiful and all the wild life looks so healthy which is so nice to see.

It was an awesome surprise to watch our most favorite travellers in Fethiye/Turkey - Uncle Mick (amca) and Marianne & Chris. We always watch and follow you both from Canada.. We plan to move to Fethiye one day in the soon future, thanks to Mick amca for introducing us Calis beach..We also had a grand Turkish tour (since a year) with The Tread of the Globe and learnt lots from you - Marianne & Chris, thanks a lot. That is one of my favorite movies. The Goonies is an 80's classic. The house at the start of the movie is privately owned, but you can see it from a distance in Astoria, OR in the USA. Great video. Loved the island. I have to go to Turkey now!

We’ve stayed at Club Letoonia the resort you passed in the boat. It’s wonderful. Delicious Turkish food & the scenery is spectacular. It’s not too expensive but you really get your money’s worth. Totally recommend for a few days as a vacation within a vacation if you are exploring other areas. Great video- I love the color of the water, keep showing it 💙
