- The beach is my favorite place on Earth and I want to share with you these happy DIY beach decor ideas. These are also DIYs that can be made with all Dollar Store items. I'm excited to show you a couple of new techniques I've learned that I've been having a lot of fun with. So grab your tropical color paints and some seashells and let's make some beach decor!

I live in Florida. Although surrounded by the ocean on our coast', I rarely get to go. I'm 51 now. Starting a new life. I want my home to show my Love of the Coastal Beauty. Although limited funds for things. So I need all the cheap DIY tips I can get. I shop mostly $$ tree. But I like / want High End Looking Decor. I'm excited to have joined & see your decor creations.

I probably would've put those glass beads in a ziplock bag before crushing. That way they would've all been contained.
Fun fact: if you would've put the candle in the freezer, it would've come out with no problem. I don't know why that works, but it does. (I learned that from another DIY er)😉
I love all of these, by the way, and watching you drag the poured paint into a coral painting was really satisfying. The more you dragged the spatula through the paint, the better it looked. These were all absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for this!! 🥰

I think I would have put the picture with hite at bottom with starfish as if white sand. Beautiful never the less.

Great video. For crushing the glass I would put it in a zip lock bag and then cover it with a towel to see if it works well.

I love anything coastal and beach themed! However, I live in MN, so it looks very out of place here.
We will be able to spend more time in FL and these ideas will be repeated in our FL “temporary” home!

Hula skirt..love that idea. Candles in boiling water..great idea.
That hula skirt has lasted forever and I still have lots to use!
My favorite was the coral painting - it does look fun!
To melt candles I usually put in the oven on warm to 200 degrees until melted (depends on the size of the candle for how long) - just another way to go about it:)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the painting with glass!!! I have a canvas in my living room that I’ve been wanting to do something beachy with but hadn’t been inspired until now. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing that with us. I’m going tomorrow to pick up the supplies for it. Mine is huge so it’ll be done on a large scale with a lot of glass. I can’t wait!

I don’t see why not. Most people use resin or epoxy, I just wanted a cheaper alternative. 💗💗💗
