ya but for a light you may want to idk switch between different rifles or carry offhand in the moment, maybe to shed weight because you dont want the white light on, and you have your passive/laser aiming system all set up. You can just pop the white light off. I think it’s neat. Especially for people who cant afford multiples of something like a surefire
Yeah it looks like you could bang it up against a wall and it would destroy the mount. I haven’t tried Mlok and some brands probably make it very well, but picatinny rails just seem to encompass a wider hold on things and contrary to the above, you can set it to a specific torque/tension.
The Kinetic M-Lok mounts are great if your rifle never leaves the safe. As soon as they get in contact with a pinch of dirt they bind up. But what do I know. Keep buying unnecessary shit
Wish all M-Lok was like that. Back when it was a debate between m-lok and keymod I was all in on keymod cause it was just easier to add or remove what you needed
I like the mount. But not super secure as you mentioned. It pops off many of my metal mlok rails. Seems to only be totally secure on magpul polymer handguards.
I have a similar attachment for my magpul bi-pod. It's a big hit at the range, and I'm sure I've helped this company sell quite a few of these connectors.
You gotta keep them clean. If you get dirt, water or other crap in there, the parts will stick/corrode over time. For range toys I find them very useful (I don't have the same one for my surefire but they use the same squeeze and lock system). I had to contact customer service about one of the mlok tabs not unlocking

Bought a QD pic rail for a bipod, it ended up not locking on tight enough as I’d accidentally push a pin back in if I tried to use forwards pressure on the pod. The accessory is much more useful on the flashlight, where I can remove excess bulk for travel/daytime shooting.

Yep. No thread locker, it won’t fall off, optics don’t need to be re-zeroed, slings don’t have to be threaded through anything and can be removed quickly to provide medical aid… QD is worth every penny.
I see it being useful for hunting say your out tracking and it get dark out and you don't have a flashlight but the one on your gun well you can take it off super quick and easy then you have a hand held so your not using your whole rifle I've tracked a animals at night with nothing but a phone light at 25% battery and a mile from the truck its not a fun time since then I have alot of lights and alot of batteries 😅
I don’t like that the head of the light sits right above the muzzle device. It’s gonna cloud up the lense so quickly or even potentially break it. I’d move it back just one slot if possible. I know it can be mount right near it, but idk that I’d want it that close to the opening due to carbon build up on the lense.
If there's some unforeseeable and unfortunate reason to abandon ur rifle it gives u a quick and easy way to remove it. Not sure it'd ever be useful but still nice to have. Also makes swapping between weapons quick and easy if u don't wanna pay hundreds to add a light to each gun
So you have to reach forward to turn it on? Taking your aim off the target and lessen muzzle discipline for a tacticool device? Not to mention that if you have to reach forward to turn the night on, your focus is off target and give up position, making your tacticool device worthless. 2 Shots to your dome as you turn on your cool light
Yeah that's pretty cool. I'm glad I went with an Odin flashlight for my AR build. It's very bright prices affordable and the mount it comes with has a quick release feature so I don't have to buy any after market parts, spending even more money. Easy to charge, bright, has a green laser and a quick mount feature. Mine has given me zero problems.
You know I don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to have a QD light on my ARs. And reading some comments and thinking some more I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just a gimmick. “What if your light breaks” buy a bettter light. And the other excuses like “you can use it as a regular flashlight” that’s what I have my phone and a pocket light for.
I know this may sound silly, and I definitely don't even go here, but this would be awesome for competitive foam flinging builds too! Super handy gadget for lots of gun adjacent hobbies!

I'm not a high speed, low drag cool guy operator, and our M-16s back in my days in the Army didn't have attachment points for lights, and so I know nothing about lights and combat. But, a light on my weapon comes in real handy on my property for those times at night when the dogs alert to something out beyond my porch light. As my bigass Surefire lights up the hayfield really well, and it aids me in seeing if a predator is out there.

Either way, you always have the "Light" advantage, over "WHATEVER", is out there. Chees to ya mate.

So tell me why you have a reason to move your WML on and off your gun? That light has IR capabilities which means if you’re running nods you will likely have a dual switch setup. That means moving it off and on is a hassle and unnecessary. Just use the standard mount, save weight time and money

Ahh so that's how M Lock works. See I never knew til just now because I've never owned a rifle. All I've owned is a Glock 43X and a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS.
Surefire M640DF’s are straight trash. I went through 6 of them on two rifle in less than 4 months. They all flickered under recoil (even flickered during dry firing) and one downright failed to work in less than 150rds. The rep from Surefire even admitted it and tried talking me into a 1000 lumen Scoutlight rifle instead of warranting the M640DF’s because he said there were known problems with them and they didn’t have a fix for it. Modlite, Cloud, or Streamlight from here on out.
Words of wisdom. If you mount your flashlight that close to the muzzle blast the increase of gas pressure on one side of the muzzle can effect your trajectory of the round. Mount if farther back or sight it in after mounting the light.
By the look of carbon build up on his flash hider I’d say he runs it suppressed, most, if not all the time. so muzzle blast is well past the front of the flashlight
I dig the idea but kinda' turns 1-2 points of failure into multiple, and those multiple points also have small moving parts. I would have to see this torture tested to feel OK about it.

only thing I trust with a push release is my sling.
I don’t trust push release slings. Seen them fail. If your gonna run it, keep some paracord handy to tie your sling to your rifle when it fails.

All I've owned is a Glock 43X and a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS.
I've used mlok and tightening the screws is a pain since they don't always cooperate.
Does it come in other colors or just black?
Is that the new style surefire...I prefer the 2 scene system..do kd make one for that style.

Surefire M640DF’s are straight trash. I went through 6 of them on two rifle in less than 4 months. They all flickered under recoil (even flickered during dry firing) and one downright failed to work in less than 150rds. The rep from Surefire even admitted it and tried talking me into a 1000 lumen Scoutlight rifle instead of warranting the M640DF’s because he said there were known problems with them and they didn’t have a fix for it. Modlite, Cloud, or Streamlight from here on out.

Words of wisdom. If you mount your flashlight that close to the muzzle blast the increase of gas pressure on one side of the muzzle can effect your trajectory of the round. Mount if farther back or sight it in after mounting the light.
By the look of carbon build up on his flash hider I’d say he runs it suppressed, most, if not all the time. so muzzle blast is well past the front of the flashlight

I dig the idea but kinda' turns 1-2 points of failure into multiple, and those multiple points also have small moving parts. I would have to see this torture tested to feel OK about it.
