How to replace a air cabin filter on a 2018 rav4

The arrow on the cabin filter only faces up when it says "UP" next to the arrow. So good job and thumbs up.
But if you buy a brand that says air flow or nothing at all next to the arrow then point the arrow down in the direction of air flow.
All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow, otherwise the blower would be full of the dirt that collects on top of the old filter.
