I just bought a 2014 CLS63 AMG. It has brand new rotors, brakes, and HRE forged 20-inch wheels. Body is perfect. The cost was $39,999, with 49,000 miles on the car. I feel like I got a great deal on a even greater car, and I LOVE driving it, unlike any other car I've ever owned. It's just totally sick, totally amazing machine.
@@honestbro1999 a 2014 cls 63 is AWD and 2012 is RWD. Very different cars in terms of the driving. I own a 2013, so rwd so i cant use it in winter but in summer and spring i love burning my rear tires. 2013 has updated screen designs compared to 2012 also. Very expensive to fix when shit breaks down. I have owned mine for some time now and i have seen best of both worlds. So, choose wisely.
@@honestbro1999I have a 2012 CLS63, incredible cars man. However if something breaks it can be costly, eg I had to replace the secondary fuel pump recently and it cost me £1800. That was a with a low labour rate too, due to being my friend’s garage.
The first time I've seen a CLS was in one of those badass mafia music videos and since then I fell in love with it. When you think of the old gen CLS you have to think of that amazing rear design. Great video
The ultimate CLS is the 2014 CLS63 AMG S. The 2nd CLS generation, specifically 2011-2014 before the facelift in 2015 was the best designed. Mercedes introduced the AMG S engine in 2014. Therefore, the only CLS 63 that has both the best design and also the AMG S engine is from 2014. I love how descriptive and into the design you are. The car has such a masculine presence yet takes some design inspiration from feminine features, such as the headlights and taillights. Marc ruined the car in 2015 when they made the body softer and ditched the aggressive headlights. Only thing I struggle with is deciding on which I like better: the 2014 CLS 63 AMG S coupe or shooting brake!
This is the only car I accept as a 4 door 'coupe'. A term bastardised by the car companies. Coupes are 2 door only. This is the only exception worthy of donning the coupe title. And one of my favorite MBs.
What a beautiful review! Thumbs up, man! I can perfectly feel how you love the car and how you adore it. And it absolutely deserves it as it's an adorable car that I love so much - exactly as you said - from the day I saw the second generation for the first time some 13 years ago. Thank you!
Didn't know it back then but I was starting to fall in love with cars. My dad had an AMG CLK 63 (Soft Black Top, White Body), AMG CL63 (Black) and a AMG CLS 63 perf pack (dark silver) when I was younger, became a car lover in the making, Merc really was at their peak back then❤
I'm getting ready to buy one of these cars in black and was wondering what everyone thinks of those wheels in gloss black. I wanted to do a black on black look keeping only a few chrome accents like the exhaust of course. I am not sure the make of these in the video but they look exactly like hte rohanna rc7.
I'm a coup/ two door guy, but in 2011 luved the CLS 550 and brought one. Its difficult to say its a four door. 2nd choice is this car footage U displayed 😉
Mercedes invented another class, all the manufactures mocked it then they all copied it, Mercedes still has a definitive look in every car they make, they retain the Mercedes identity. All other manufactures look basically the same, BMW have lost their way in design I can’t tell them from a Nissan, no class at all. I have owned my CLS 63 BITURBO now for nearly Six years it’s Black and White designo interior and that beautiful metallic Blue designo paint outside a rare colour combo. But the rarest thing in it of all, is the engine assembled by Michael Kubler the Renown famous engine builder in AMG. I can’t even part with it I still love it.
Only thing disappointed on this car is weight distribution. 55/45 is absolutely bad and unfortunately only the less powerful jag XF 35t (380hp) and panamera 4s (440hp) have a decent 51/49 weight distribution while preserving awd (rwd is a no-no for a car like this)

I'm also considering buying a 2012 CLS63, can I ask what running coats are like on your car?
