I really love this game. It seems like it had so much promise for such an early game and was super ahead of its time. An open world, a full crew who have their own routines just going about their business. A full chat system. Multiple endings. It's such a shame so few people know about it.
It's just too bad the entire game is fundementally just a tedious psuedo-parser dialogue system. It's interesting and atmospheric, but it plays abysmally.
the thing we need the most now is a VR version of this game. Then we form a special duty task force, which breaks into ppls home when they are asleep and straps them with the glasses so they wont even notice its only a game.
Leinad44 even if you say that its odd to just hear complete silence when they arent talking. they talk about how odd the voices sound but you cant hear said voices etc
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of REPORTS suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened
Wow, this game for the year 1997 sure looks pretty good.. the game so is so ahead of any other game released in that year.. it's nonlinear and therefore has about 9 different endings.. and the AI is still better than in most modern games.. if only the controls weren't so complicated, whether it by on PS1 or PC
This was one of the best and most atmospheric games on the PS1 when it came out, there was nothing like it. To this day when I hear the howling of the space station, I feel the pressure and a special kind of quiet fear that no game has really replicated for me since then. It's such a shame it's almost impossible to run it on any emulator nowdays. And it's so shameful to see these pricks making fun of this game, screw you Giant Bomb or whoever you are, I bet your favourite game is call of fucking duty.
That moment when Alex drops to the ground, followed by the NPCs doing the same thing...
