A former professional golfer attempts to qualify for The Open Championship having taken a break from the game due to experiencing a trauma. I loved their chemistry. It was real. Not sexual. Just honest, open, real interest, attraction. A woman helping a man who is teaching a woman. Nothing racial. Their eventual love is real.

I honestly can’t express enough how enjoyable this movie was! It was just soooo wholesome. I haven’t watch something this well thought out in a REALLY LONG time. Best thing I’ve seen in YEARS. It felt like time didn’t even past whilst watching this movie. I’m very thankful to have come in contact with this film and hope to see more like it in the future. Such an amazing experience!!

Beautiful, haunting yet hopeful film. And oh, my, , what a couple the absolutely glowing, brave Pippa Bennett-Warner and the charming but wary Jack Eve make. The wholly unexpected courtship of both spark and grace with discovery, played like the game itself by two sharing their moves to become a team, in the metaphorical golf, over the beautiful course and the unfolding of the day. Gorgeous.

I can't express how much I loved this film. It was simple yet deep but not over-dramatic. The actors' chemistry was palpable and charming. I would kill for a sequel.

I viewed this film the other night and have not been able to stop thinking about it. I found it utterly arresting. The way it was written rendered the characters completely endearing. I found it quite Linklater-esque, in that its magic lies in its simplicity. Coincidentally, I felt the same crestfallen feeling at the end of Open that I felt after watching the Linklater "Before..." films- devastated that it was over, yearning for even one more scene. I've now added Jack Eve to my list of directors to follow. What a miracle-worker. Not that creating an exceptionally good film is a miracle, but arousing curiosity in me about golf ⛳ is! Lol 😆 🤣 I may or may not have taken in a Tiger Woods documentary since seeing this film. 🥴

Aaahhh!! The first time I watched this movie early this month, I watched it thrice! On the same day!! *It was that good!* If you haven't watched it, Go watch it! You'll LOVE it!! I loved their chemistry, banter, stories, emotions, all subtle but so well done that I was sad when it ended. Heck I didn't even feel the time move so fast!! This movie was genius! They did so much with so little. I loved it!

This was a literal piece of art . It made me work really hard researching about the behind the scenes but I found zilch,which is both good and bad.Good because it holds my intrigue eternally, bad because I would never really know that was it all fiction or was there really a team of brothers that were a part of each other. I loved everything about this. But the writing and the the authenticity with which it was performed is something that will be with me forever. I'm so touched that I'm tearing up while writing this. SO we'll done.🧡

I've been having clips of this from Creatively Designed Presents over and over again pop up in my recommendations and I've been trying to ignore it (even though I've been desperately wanting a British film to view). But it kept coming back and so I yielded. And there's just something so quietly confident about this film. The dialogue is so stripped back and bare, yet elegant and profound. I love the intimacy of it all. I'm so glad to have watched it. I could watch Naomi and Steve talk for ages; there's just something so mesmerising about the way they interact with one another.

OMG! Just finished watching it. It's a very slow movie about a sport I know nothing about with two people speaking sometimes very fast in accents I find difficult to follow. Yet, I LOVED it. Calm, refreshing, sometimes very deep, sometimes very light. Just a well acted, well written, well done film. Bravo.

I don't play golf myself . I do however like films that speak the true meaning of how love works . Some of this movie tho I did not fully understand. Like I have questions? Did he make the shot / win the open ? Were they in a relationship by the end of the movie ? Like I don't really understand but I'm pretty sure they did become one over the course of this film

First of all Jack, Golf Clap 👏 to you! This movie has already been watched like 10 plus times since January 2022 and I find such entertainment and peace when watching! I think it was beautifully filmed and your acting was very relaxed and natural just amazing! Love love loved the writing and conversation between the two leads. The landscape, scenery was beautiful and calming and I love your use of light from the sun etc! I really can go on about this, but wow one of my new favorites! I love films that have a small cast and take place pretty much in one day! Btw not sure if you’ve ever gotten this, but you look a bit and sound a bit like JFK 😂😊. I sometimes leave the movie on in the background when I work to let Amazon know there is activity on it. Also, music by your brother was too good! This was the first time I understood and found golf interesting! Literally learned a lot! 🏌️♂️⛳️ OK spiel is over, just fantastic work and hope to see more from you in the future! ☺️😊✨
