Watch quite a bit of Dortmund, and don't think Adeyemi is worth a look by any top PL club, nor is he a useful addition to the likes of Jackson. While he's quick and industrious (a threat against the offside trap) he's very tiny and not great at either final third passing nor finishing. A small, even more frustrating version of Jackson, IMO.

He'd be a great signing if we were competing in the Championship. But we're not. We're trying to win the Premier League. Sumerville is 22 and a half, he's about 5,8, and he weighs about the same as I did when I was 15 years old. And I was pretty small for a 15 year old. His stats are amazing but... He is a set piece taker and that inflates things a bit.
We can't really sell Mudryk because of how much of his fee remains to be amortized. It isn't obvious that Sterling will leave. We're hopefully not thinking about selling Palmer already. And in just one year, we're having a dribbler guy come in that makes Summerville look clumsy, as well as Paez, who is shaping up to be an allround offensive nuisance.
Point I'm trying to make is, we really don't need (more) players that are most likely not making the cut next season.

And lets not forget that Malo towards the end of the season had to ask to be subbed off multiple times because of his hamstring. Stop overblowing this Reece James injury history and stop using recency bias, Reece James is the best RB in the world and the rest of his competion had to either be benched, or played out of position in the England team to make room for 21 year old Reece. He gets his second red card in 6 years and you say he has a temper

So we get a coach that hates offensive fullbacks, we get him on a five year contract, and then we buy a promising American fullback that looks a bit like a young Chilwell? That seems a bit curious. That said, I really don't mind attacking fullbacks and the kid doesn't look small of stature either.
Adeyemi, meh. Don't know him but his stats look so mediocre. Why buy a player like that? There's no long term value, it just bloats the roster and makes it harder for the academy boys to think there's any room for them. And his potential positive contribution to a Prem team making top 4 strike me as close to zero. Save the money unless there's something actually worth investing in.
