Sorry, but I cannot take new BMW M cars seriously, because their rev-counter is so much inferior to old analog ones. Let me explain: I enjoy rev-matching manual transmissions, because it is so satisfying to accurately predict where the revs will land on downshifts. If you get it right, you're rewarded with a smooth shift. In fact: it is a large part of the driving-joy for me. However, those new digital rev-counters in BMWs make it much harder to read the revs, because they are shown only in 1000rpm increments on a small, hard-to-read scale (the old display showed in 500rpm increments on much larger, symmetrical sweeping display). This clearly demonstrates that BMW has stopped caring about manual transmission drivers. BMW: please bring back the old rev-counter in digital form! It was perfect in its legibility already.

I had a 2017 grey M2 with the N55 motor. Loved its look it was just the right amount of flare but subtle still. This M2 I love the side view and think the front will grow on me but the rear looks like a M2 crossed with a Civic type R what was BMW thinking ? 🤢 !! So glad I bought a Vette now !!
The 1M was a “parts bin car” that somehow transcended and became its own legend. The M2 was on track to become legendary, but now just looks like a “parts bin car”. BMW are going backwards.
Beautiful interior and mad performance but it just doesn't look good and it also got bigger so overall i would give it a 6.5/10 i would probably get one if i could but i think id rather have an m3 instead purely because of the looks

I am sorry I don’t care how much improvements are there technical but I recommend who ever has the previous generation specially the CS version keep it because the previous M2 is much much much better looking then this ugly Junk replacing it. What is this man I am going to find an idiot trying to sale there previous generation M2 so they can buy the new one and buy from them. This is not a step back but a massive back drop. Disappointing I’m sorry bmw you F top.
