Awesome Episode. To bad you felt you had to explain yourselves to those haters, but it's nice to see the 2 of you laugh it off. Your energy as a Dastardly-Duo is awesome. Personally, I enjoy not knowing what the heck he will be working on today. Ian seems to be having a lot more fun than he did on the show, he's even more comical than he was on the show.

A world that’s so impatient, they can’t just chill and watch the process. This is WAY more a reality show, episodes progress as everyday life affects the process. You both keep at it!! I literally watch and listen while I’m working on projects, folding laundry or eating dinner with my teenage daughter. We enjoy the show together.

Dear goodness. I will say it again, dont even worry a little bit about the folks saying things about what you guys are doing. I am the firefighter that has the spinal injury that has commented a couple of times due to the same thing you mentioned about negative comments. I will never be able to ride a rig again and due to my injury, nearly ALL of my days and nights I am relegated to lying in the bed to preserve what motor and sensory function I can, all the while getting excited to see a new video from you two show up on my feed. I usually save it to watch in the middle of the night when the pain wakes me between 2-3 am. There are far more of us that look forward to whatever content you put up because it is extremely enjoyable to spend some time watching the two of you allowing us a glimpse into your lives. Aside from the fabrication content, which I really look forward to, it warms my heart to see the love the two of you share, not just for your projects, but mostly each other. Keep doing what you are doing and dont allow the keyboard warriors to even occupy a millimeter of your mind. A good friend of mine, former SOF Medic, said recently, those are the kind of folks that have never been punched in the mouth for something theyve said or done and most of them probably live in their parents basement. I would place a bet none of them have even ever tried doing anything remotely akin to what you guys are doing. Just know there are a lot of us who enjoy this little glimpse into your lives and enjoy spending a little rime with you two. God bless and will be looking forward to the next post.

Well said dude. Isn't the best boxer one who has never squared up to someone in his life but can tell you how to fight or the person telling you how useless you are as a motorcycle racer but has never even owned a bike in his life. Unfortunately the world is full of people like that, just "smile and wave" it's not worth getting bent out of shape because of dipshits like that. However if you enjoy Ian's channel try "Rat rods for Africa" It shows what can be made from very little, here in South Africa we don't have access to everything that most Americans take for granted but that channel shows what can be achieved without having everything. All the best you are a brave man for not giving up, I salute you

I’ve been watching Ian for years now. He has taught me so much about metal working. In my 33 year career as a Rehabilitation Engineer, I’ve built hundreds if not thousands of very custom wheelchairs for extremely handicapped people, designing a wheelchair to fit their deformed bodies. I worked with metal, wood, plastic and different types of foam.
Today, after being retired for several years, I’ve been working on my 1957 Ford F100 as a restomod, at the same time I’ve been working on restoring a 1947 Kit teardrop camping trailer. I go back and forth between those two as well as other projects in wood and/or metal. It’s always great to have a few projects going on at the same time so that you can work on something else to clear your head and be more creative. I admire all of the different projects that you’re working on, they are all great.
Ian has shown me things about metal forming that I wish I had known 40 years ago! Thanks Ian and Jamie for the opportunity for ‘all’ of us in TV land to be entertained and taught by your wonderful work.

People that are being harassing should just stop. Get lives and do something productive.
Some people get the misrepresentation that any car project is simple and just takes a day or two because they see months/years condensed into a half hour or hour show. Some can't be patient and want instant gratification.
Personally, I enjoy the creation and process from brainstorming to completion. From my own art/luthier background, I know that things take time... Not just from doing the actual work but also everything else (parts ordering, research, time between, client interactions, etc ).
I would be lying if I didn't say that I'm anticipating seeing the projects you guys are working on when they're done, but as many of the true fans of the work, we are just eager. That in no way means anyone shiuld put undue pressure on you or complain you're not doing enough.
We aren't paying your bills to build these...we are not the clients for these projects. We may be a part of the community that appreciates it and enjoy the interaction as well as offering helpful advice or comments that may not have been thought of, but we don't get the right to demean or criticize negatively.
Just know for each of the problem children and haters, there's 100x more that enjoy the insight and jouney.
Thanks for all you both do to educate us on this, entertain us and give us something to look forward to with all that goes on with the world and our daily lives.
    -Jeff

Art and it's creation is a life well spent. I (like many other creators like Ian) enjoy the journey. There is no clock ticking like the goofy un-reality shows with "deadlines". In my world deadlines don't exist. I have 3 vintage Ford trucks I'm building. All 3 are totally bitchen in my reptilian brain and I LOVE the "process' of each build. One other build that has just recently eaten my brain is a 17 foot aluminum canoe that I'm making into a trimaran with pontoons and bamboo decking. Total gas designing it and seeing my vision becoming reality...like all my builds. You guys rock as far as I'm concerned. I've been an admirer of yours for many years Ian and always look forward to what's next to pop out of that shiny bald head.

I've watched Ian for years and I work very much the same... Always bouncing around the project and then onto other projects and then back again. I do it for all the same reasons as there are always issues when building cars. Plus with my OCD I come up with a new idea for a project I'm not even working on so I have to stop what I'm doing and try it or sometimes I get stumped and need to step away and just marinate on the ideas for a bit. I also just started a UA-cam channel and do all the video shooting and editing myself so I feel you. It takes a ton of time and effort to just get hours of video ready for uploading. Keep up the great work you guys!

I can certainly sympathize with you on getting anything delivered to your home. I lived in Running Springs for 20 years and like you we had to go to the post office to get our mail. I hated waiting in line to get my packages. We did get ups and FedEx deliveries to our house though but, every time we ordered something we had to make sure how it was being shipped prior to ordering. We have since moved to Vegas and now Amazon keeps delivering our stuff to the next door neighbors! Can’t win for losing! Anyway, I love what you do and I can really appreciate you doing your work in the desert heat! I’m still trying to make that adjustment!

you sir are by far one of the best builders. by showing others that you can still achieve the same results with limited tooling and equipment, gives the rest of us hope. I am building a hot rod from an old garden tractor, and watching you and learning what i can, is going to help me build my garden tractor hot rod.

As others have said now and before, do not worry about what the haters say about your builds or how you do stuff. Most of them don't know which way a nut turns on a bolt. I love what you are and Jamie are doing for us and I thank you.

A nice peice like the windscreen casting down the centre of the boat tail might look cool... not sure how long tho. Also the followers that 'get your process' will stay loyal an sustain the channel, especially after the ASMR english wheeling storytime with master metal man Ian Roussel ;)

I build cars for a living and also do it as my hobby, I have two personal builds that have been off and on for over 10 years. When you're an everyday working person you're main concern is staying in business. Doing this hobby for the common man is getting harder every day.

I'm with you guys. I applaud the guys that take their cars to the shows and sit in a lawn chair all day because if it weren't for them, there would be no car shows. But it's not for me.. I enjoy the journey far more than the destination. Thanks for all of your videos.

Very entertaining, and a personal growth challenge most aren't up for. You're a big man and this project is going to require a big man. It's a dream come true, for me, to watch the videos. I've seen many custom cars and wanted to know; how did they do that? I know how GM does it and now I'm learning how a garage shop can do it. Thanks Ian and Jamie. I like it. Joe F.

Love the work you two do. As a died in the wool car guy that has completed several projects of my own, it always takes longer than you think it should and with more money. I therefore have a low tolerance of "fans" complaining about your elapsed time for projects. Pi*s on 'em. That is all.....
