I must have missed this on the Donny and Marie show when I lived in the States. I remember reading somewhere that Jay was considered one of the best drummers around at the time. They were part of my childhood and teen years, a great group.
I especially love how this performance showcased so many of the instruments that ya'll play!! Ya'll are so fully rounded with various instruments ... awesome ... just awesome!! LOVE IT!
Wow...this takes me back almost 50 yrs. No matter what some people say, the Osmonds have proven to be the hardest working group ever in the industry!!! From singing, dancing, playing instruments, and etc. No group of singers has ever had or ever will have, their perfect harmony! Even to this day!!! They busted their butts off by always, always, always practicing!! That's how they got the nickname the "One Take Osmonds"! Loved you guys as a teenager and love you still in my 60s! You still sound just as great! Stay healthy and stay safe always! ❤ Pam
This is fantastic. I saw this up close in concert in 77. I was 11. I had just had back surgery and the good thing is it got me front row seats. I went from watching them in the hospital to seeing them on stage. They seemed nine feet tall 😂. But they were so good. Everyone was blown away at their talent. Ending with “Are You Up There/I Believe” in the front row was Heaven. There will never be another “The Osmonds” thanks for your channel Dave.
@Dave's Osmond Videos It's like you know that today's my 7th work anniversary! I was waiting on this music segment. Not just for the amazing musical versatility, but "Bae" Osmond and his boo of brothers look like a sexy motorcycle gang in those outfits. Thanks for this belated birthday/work anniversary gift when I needed it most Dave. Have a sparkly multifaceted Thursday and keep the music in you. Excuse me while I celebrate while mentally throwing...singles at my phone screen. Get it boys!...📺💟💙💜🖤😏💚🧡👏🕺🎷🎹🥁🎺🪕🎉🥂🙃💸
@@DavesOsmondVideos. Not really. I didn't do anything nor go anywhere. All I did was look at videos of my various boos to celebrate my (cough cough) birthday.
circa 1979/80, if the hairstyles serve me right. I remember the second show one evening at Drury Lane, London, (April '80), Merrill only came on for the banjo spot in this number. He had done the first show, but after the second returned home the next day due to poor health.
No Matter what, to me they portrait perfection🤩
Handsome, talented and decent. What more could you want in a group?
Wow, I forgot how multi-talented the Osmond are! They were the COOLEST! I so miss them singing together. 😊👍🎶
YOU FORGOT? Who'd want to remember?

Love when Merrill plays the banjo!

TY Dave♡
Love it 😀
They play saxophone too! Gawd I've misjudged them. Really are underrated in the history of bands. Pound for pound pretty untouchable.
Plus they tap dance and clog.
They play about 30 different instruments’
That was terrific!
I remember this routine from Vegas. Fun to see it again. 😀
WOW!BEAUTIFUL SPOT AND SONG.

Didn’t see those saxophones coming
Did Jay do the dances in this song
I bet he did. Some of those moves were used in the D&M openings :)
