- Farhan Zaidi has not been able to put together a consistent winning product in San Francisco, and his time as President of Baseball Operations could be coming to an end very soon.

The top members of the Giants’ ownership group are probably working very diligently right now to try to find the right grounds to keep Farhan Zaidi as president of baseball operations beyond this disappointing season. They don’t want to fire him. They want to identify the reasons to keep him.

How is this dude still in the building LMAO who couldn't tell this dude was clueless from the start.
I hope so !!!!good bye 👋
They just need to let posey take over 😎
Zaidi's done--Rebuild SF Giants management and the team overall! ⚾
I hope he gets fired, his ONLY good season was 2021, and that was magical, but everything else sucked and sucks.
Let’s hope so, other than the flash in the pan 2021 season the only way I can describe his tenure/ the teams he’s constructed as “painfully mediocre”. And it just feels like this team has been stagnant after 2021. we have been playing around .500 ball almost the entire time he’s been here so yeah I think a change is needed soon.
Describing 2021 as a flash in the pan is a LIE- or just plain wrong. You pick. First of all Posey retired and he's the best catcher any of us have ever seen. Ok and besides that we got rid of basically that entire team just look at the infield we let go with Longoria and belt and Crawford and Posey. Look deeper, fam.
.500 is nowhere. Not good enough to make a run, not bad enough to rebuild. Do one or the other. I stopped paying attention to them they have become so dull and boring to watch, then they do something stupid like re sign Chapman.
@@Savethepeople2004 it was a total fluke dude… look at the teams afterwards… that that team was this decades 2001 Seattle Mariners
@@andu1854 I'm a little busy and I was hoping you could help me count the world series rings and MVPs on that team. Thanks in advance, betch.
If it happens. Just know I predicted it would be September. They need to have him replaced before the off season free agency. But that is still a if, I wouldn't be surprised if they give him one more year. Just a note he failed in every aspect of what his job is about especially with the trade deadline.
Finally! Ive wanted him gone since he got the job.
I really enjoy this UA-cam channel!
Forcing Crawford out took some heart out of the team. We lost Thairo and now we're probably gonna lose Yaz and Late Night LaMonte as well. Numbers aren't everything.
Melvin should also be gone. Pads are better without him id imagine we would be also.
I read that article. After the writer says wide swaths of the fanbase want Zaidi out, he later in the article says it’s just the lunatic fringe. Not good writing.
Some Reports say that Zaidi was overruled by the ownership group regarding the Matt Chapman contract(with Buster Posey being the catalyst). If this is true, why would Zaidi want to stay? Which brings up the obvious question--Buster Posey taking over? His previous public statements regarding doing anything like being the head of baseball operations has been no.
A change is needed though
Because he's a fake ass nerd who doesn't look like he can play baseball let alone run a team it's all been an absolute joke.
@@michaelbaucom4019 overruled how
I really enjoy this channel!
It should be
They've been eliminated. Fire him TODAY!
Better be
Their farm system has been pretty barren. The cornerstone of a good franchise is player development.
Each season after 2021, we had opportunities to make postseason. EVEN FAVORED TO WIN BASED ON THE 107. But no, we trade players thats good, send down players who hit and run good. Wait until the last minute to call up someone else
The Giants TRIED to sign Judge. They're never going to land free agent superstars.
I hope not…I love how the first thing he did when came over from the dodgers was fire HOF Bochy…he was obviously sabatoging the midgets…😊😅😂❤
I'd be all for losing a hundred games a year if it meant replenishing the farm system. The Giants can't get good via free agency. They need to trade (sell) and draft well. The status quo is not working.
The guy Zaidi is a scamming cost-cutter who celebrated literally abandoning players old and young- and I swear he cut an entire all star team of talent. Zaidi is very good at identifying pitching. The problem is he never could ever understand that players like Belt and Longoria and Bochy and Dubon and Bart and Solano had value that didn't translate to whatever the hell garbage hitting stats he was using that day.
What I'm trying to say is that Bruce Bochy is a better offensive player than zaidi gave him credit for
They're going to end up with a worse record than last year.
I think by now we know what he’s all about
If only there was someone who knew he sucked from day one, like me
Fire Zaidi now!
The sooner the better, we need to work on next season ASAP!! We're in the toughest division in MLB and it ain't gonna get any easier!!! Dodgers are perennial (GOD I HATE SAYING THIS!!!!) playoff contenders, the Padres are badass and the D'backs find a way to get involved nearly every year. The time is NOW!!! Yes, we are blessed with 3 rings- we'll always have that. But we can't ride that too much longer...
Damn Eric pissed lol
Hallelujah!
Bye Bye Bye.
6 years, no playoffs, in SF, one of the biggest markets in the country, with ownership with DEEP FUKIN POCKETS AND THE WILL TO SPEND THE MONEY...
U N A C C E P T A B L E!!!!!
no one was expecting results on day one, but its 6 years on, and the team isn't getting better, it's getting worse... Zaidi has to go.
The biggest problem with Farhan is that the farm system HASN'T vastly improved. They are still ranked the lowest farm system in the division if I'm not mistaken.
Lucky 107win season extended his tenure with the Giants 😂😂
You probably really pissed off Jenny Vega with this one lmao
Well said Erik. I don't think you're a dumbass though
Bro I'm a Pirates fan... you don't get to whine about only being able to cover one playoff game.😂 Try 2 seasons over .500 since '92 when I was 8.
Giants should have signed JD Martinez with less money, than Soler with a big contract. Soler missed a lot of balls earlier until mid season, while Martinez has some clutch hitting in the 5th or 6th spot.
Melvin seemed to make more bad decisions this year than i can remember. Example in Baltimore when he challenges a first inning close call, then they lose on a foul ball near the line late that can not be reviewed. Bush league. Hitting coaches - Bush league. Farhan apparently ok with lackluster with Bush League decisions/play. NOT ME.
A 10 year old can put together a good roster......
Farhan should’ve been fired 2 years ago.
This discussion on Zaidi is pretty similar to what's being said about my Mariners' Jerry Dipoto ~ analytical to a fault, disdain for signing/trading for superstars, poor teambuilding outside of pitching, mediocre record outside of one season that's looking more and more like a fluke... only difference is that our ownership already chose to keep Jerry for at least one more year. Hopefully yours chooses to do better.
On a somewhat related topic though, I'm curious what Giants fans are thinking of the Haniger/Ray trade so far lol
I have enough with Farhan Zaidi and his “moneyball plans”. He sold on 2021 season and sold on us as Giants fans. Farhan doesn’t care about the Giants to win and us as Giants fans. He only cares about is business success. Not baseball. 😒 Fire Farhan Zaidi and let him to take a hike.
Tatis was not an International draft signing - Padres stole him in a trade!! The type of trade Farhan has NOT made.
My take on Fahran Zahdi:
Truly intelligent people have no need to broadcast how smart they are to anyone that will listen, people don't need to be told
Not going to another game until Farhan is fired! He’s not good at this!
Theo Epstein! get him out of retirement!
It should be… I am still confused what he did that was so great on the A’s and Dodgers… because he had one good season and that was a total fluke
He most definitely has to go!
Failhan Zaidiot
He needs to go.
The fact is Players don’t want to play in San Francisco. With or without Zaidi it’s difficult convincing players to come here.
You guys have the worst farm system.
Not the worst but not far off according to rankings. Farhan was horrible with the draft 2 or 3 of his #1 picks are nowhere close to sniffing MLB, look up the 2019 #1 pick if you want a laugh.
Having a GM who knows about baseball would be preferable to somebody like Zaidi who started watching baseball when he was 27 and was born in Indonesia. I love Indonesia by the way I would move there right now if I could real talk.
We have a good GM, the POBO is the issue
@@ldo1308 I am 41. The guys in charge is the GM.
The Giants would be smart to play Schmitt and Walton the rest of the year even if one of them have to play LF or 1B or something here or there. We need to see who on this team can play fundamental team baseball that really wins games- especially in october. The bottom line is that great infield defense helps the SP. I think mCcRay has been aight tho we have other young minor league CFs who could use a look as well. My point is that very strong infield defense- like elite power hitting for example Zack hample- is exceptionally rare in today's game.
I hope Kapler takes over for Farhan
Hell no.
Well, Kapler might actually be better in player evaluation than being a field manager, but not in SF
