How I mix my Blues

- What is the secret to creating the beautiful blues that I use in my hydrangea paintings? Watch this video to see how I mix a variety of blues using four colors: Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Alizarin Crimson and Titanium White. While I use oil paint, this technique applies to acrylic paint as well.

I just had an ah-ha moment when you showed how you take from the original blend and add in the next color.
Of course that's how one does it... I feel like a dumbbell.

I just wonder how the color will come out if you mix sky blue with navy blue will it look like the deep color of royal blue.
Okay I'm obsessed with blues but there is a certain blue that I would love to know how to create with my paint a Lucia or illusion blues them are the colors that I am looking for instead of running out and buying the paints to make this color I love it alucia or illusion blue how to create that color at home
Do you know how I would make a desaturated blue more vibrant?
That’s really tough but if it’s a mixture you yourself created with a strong tube blue, you need to add more of that original strong color. But it may take a lot to do it so I would take a small amount of the desaturated blue and start adding to that so you don’t waste a lot of tube paint.
what colors i need to use to get hague blue?
I'm not really sure. To get the modern color that is used in interior house paint, it looks to me to be similar to Prussian Blue (Oil Paint). That would be a good place to start. Let me know if that gets you the color you are trying for.
@@JeanRupprechtArt OK, l first wanted to mix some aquamarin black and put little bit yellow, or white, to get this color but l dont know if my Blue will fit in this, hope will, but l will try mix with prussian too,
