I have recently binged every upload on VGG with headphones on. My wife has given me a lot of weird looks when I bust out laughing. Also I know I've paid too much attention when he says "ghost earth juice" and know he means mineral spirits.
Came here because of Vice Grip and always been a fan of Lou. Been a fan of Derek and his family for a long time now. Its wonderful to see VGG getting the reocgnition it deserves.
Vice grip garage is arguably the best content on the interwebs .. my buddy turned me on to it last year and I binge watched all episodes .. even helped a feller here get motivated on my own Chevelle project.. 👍☝️🔨⚡️🛠🤷♂️
Grew up farming as well. What an amazing childhood! Lot of hard work but a lot of good times as well. We need more family farms! Would fix some of the problems in society today. Thanks Derek for the great channel.
Been watching Lou for years, only been watching vgg for the last year, but the world needs more people like Derek and his family, such a humble down to earth person
"beg, borrow"...you notice Derek didn't finish it with "steal". good man there...and it is a daily chore to choose to be. god bless you and your family derek.
I can’t say enough good things about Derek, I’ve only been watching VGG since 3/21 and I’m hooked. Love this and his family I was in line forever at Indy to meet them
I'm retired military. You guys are part of what America is all about in my eyes. Lou Seabees are no joke, thank you for your service. Derek your support of the military means more than you think.
@@rfhentges If what you say is true then that's what makes them special and we need more of them. By the way I'm retired Air Force. From all that I've read , I thought we were looked at as the Bastard children of the military.
I have no idea who the other two guys are I guess I have led a sheltered life but I saw Derek and watch every Vice Grip Garage show that pops up. This was a great show. Thanks guys.
Love Derek's show. It's the show that made me start a dream of mine to build bobber motorcycles and start my UA-cam channel documenting it... he gave me the motivation to be my goofy self on the channel. It's just getting started but I'm having a blast. It's becoming my retirement plan, not the money part but the part where I plan on not sitting on the couch and turning into a old dust fart.
I remember when Derek started, then after 4 or 5 videos, his personality REALLY started coming through, AND he's genuinely a good guy, honest family man, true patriot, how do you NOT like and appreciate that!!! Congratulations Derek, ALL well deserved!!! The VGG channel is great!!!
Independence, (I feel) has become Americas Chevelle, when Derek saved that car all I could do was wonder WHY, now it's the coolest Chevelle in the wide world!!!
My sister's first car, around 1999, was a beautiful 1972 Buick Electra 455. She needed a new gas tank. It showed up, in the trunk of an old Nova, on a trailer, with a couple other cars, packed with parts, from somebody from Texas, or some dry state. One of the coolest things I ever saw!!
Love VGG Derick even though at first I didn’t think so he is very knowledgeable and a great teacher ,I like his terminology on parts the more I watch his Chanel the more I like it .

Derek, this is why where you are. You are a good man, good father, good husband, and a pretty entertaining guy. Your future looks bright. From a fellow Minnesotan.
Lou just found your channel as I follow Derek and your show interviewing Derek was on the list! So I watched it because I love back stories on the shows I watch Derek being one, and Uncle Tony being the other, and now your videos will be the other! I wondered what happened to you? I would watch your show every weekend! And then you’re gone!? I am so happy to have found you on UA-cam! I am a Marine veteran and retired automobile restoration technician, former shop manager , small automotive collection curator. Worked on everything from hot rods, muscle cars, Porsche, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, antique brass automobiles even a couple of steam jobs! I’m 75 and retired now! I really mis working on my cars! I say my cars because when you work on these vehicles for two or more years , and then they turn out to be going to the next big show , Fema, or a concourse show , Pebble Beach or Emilia Island, they become your car!!! Like kids! Loved your show! I guess I live vicariously through shows like yours , Derek , and the like! I still watch MotorTrend but I hate the woke commercials!!! I’m ready to turn off the satellite! I love Derek’s character, Patriotism , and the fact that he is dedicated to those themes and family, great that you showcased him! Hope he sticks to it we need good folks like that to straighten this country out! Hope you keep showcasing fellers and felletts like that in the future! I will be watching!! Keep up the good work! Love to watch Derek interact with his boys. I did with my son every summer from 8-18 then getting his hands dirty was not cool and he took my advice and went into electronics in the 80`s and is making 5 times what I ever did. I`m retired now and would give any thing to mentor a youngin. just no gratification in anything else.
I absolutely love Derek's channel. I also remember watching Lou fabricate, from the ground up, a 4 link suspension in a fox body Mustang. I was beyond impressed.
I came here because I saw VGG was on, and I was shocked to see Lou was doing something… don’t know if you’ll see this Lou… but you have inspired me over and over… and I think Derik has shown me the direction to take. So much awesomeness right here. You’re both amazing. And I would have put money on Derek being a vet
I just love his road trips. It’s leaking coolant, brakes don’t work and missing on a couple cylinders. So, we’re gonna do the right thing and drive home 600 miles. LOL

It was nice to see two legends, and VGG all together “shooting the bull”, made me think of my mentor in auto repair as well. Mr. Earl Bailey, who ran a n upholstery and trim shop during his retirement, and restored old Studebakers and Cadillacs!

I'm not even a gear-head any more - haven't twiddled a wrench in quite a while - got a motorcycle that's sitting and was gonna sell it and it needs work just from having sat for a long time - I found Derek totally at random with an eye to what you needed to do to restore a sitting vehicle and got totally engrossed.
