There's nothing like being able to play with your brother in the National Hockey League. Jack and Luke Hughes joined NHL Now to talk about their careers so far.
They're not the most media-friendly guys, but they definitely seem to respond better to former players like Rupp. Or Bryce Salvador on the local broadcast. Anyway, always nice when someone can get them to smile a little. :)
It’s cause they’re real human beings and not bots 🤖 like most players! A testament to how great both their parents are and how they raised them! We don’t need any more egos in Jersey! Kovalchuk is the best example of that! We’re blue collar here

Luke has always been projected to be the best out of all of them! Under Jack’s tutelage and Hamilton being out for the year, we’re seeing Luke turn into a man taking games over game after game
I can see that as well! Even if Luke only nets 80 points a year, he’d still be considered better than Jack to me cause he’s doing it from the back compared to Jack just living rent free near the other teams goalie
@@danceswithcritters Jack Hughes is too fast and shifty for majority of NHL defenseman to contain and every game he’s eye to eye with the goalie and in the slot or on a breakaway
Jack and Luke in the playoffs together next 10 years will be must see TV! These guys chemistry are growing and they mean business out there on the ice, no smiles unless a goal is produced by one or both of them and it will barely look like they cracked a smile 😂 they’re on a mission and I’m enjoying the ride
lol did they "have to do" these interviews on days off? (or just being nice)----can tell totally not that thrilled and wonder what they say to each other about the "interview" when off air etc etc
Everybody wants a smile but most of the times those smiles are fake from players! These guys and their whole family are raw and i appreciate that about them! This is how serious the Devils used to be and look in our glory days no egos except for Claude Lemieux 😂 but he rarely cracked a smile as well but that intensity and not smiling got us 2 Stanley Cups because of him so yeah Hughes brothers please don’t smile 😂

Luke is gonna be a beast.. as a nucks fan. from van... man this kids might turn out better then quinn, based on his size.
Doubt he can match Quinn's maneuverability.
