Seems like an extremely expensive repair for one thread leaking. Them cast fittings typically are still good it’s the thread that’s bad and in your situation with that dyna thread thin wall pipe I can guarantee it was the thread. I personally would have cut that piece out and put two thread groove pieces in with an 005 to tie them back together. To each there own. Love the content. I work for JCI in Pittsburgh.
I get it. I’ve done a complete replace similar to this when asked to but typically they want you to just repair the actually leak and leave whatever else isn’t leaking alone.
@@fitter5423 JCI …..you better not be just repairing a gd piece of XL…. You’re the expensive part of the repair…not he pipe. Do the customer a solid and do what this guy did. Dope.
No shit Sherlock. I can recommend replacing every piece of XL pipe I touch until I’m blue in the face bug ultimately it comes down to money as does everything else in the world. Replacing XL pipe has made me so much money in my career it’s sad to see it go cause that means there will be no more leaks to fix lol.
Nice repair bro despite what mr narcissistic Pittsburgh machine says.
Upload more videos bro good content i did that for 15 years i do something totally different now
Really? Why did you leave I heard sprinkler fitters get payed really good!!
@@sohd2283 sprinkle fitters have a back life expectancy of about 15 years after that our backs are gone
Speak for yourself bub. Work start not strong. I learned that very early in my career in my mid 20s.
