You can tell by her nature and confidence that she hasn't been abused. What a beautiful girl. I can't even imagine having to be in a position to give up any of my 3 dogs. I feel so bad for the ones who love their dogs so much they break their own hearts by sending to them to someone else to love, just because they are going to a life they know they can't provide, that will be wonderful! Maggie fell in love with Lee immediately....she knew she was safe.

She is beautiful, and you could see her doing exactly what Lee said, run run run, check back in, run run run, check back in, and she looks so confident. It’s also very beautiful to see the healing part of grief for you. The cycles of life, at a rescue.
I pray for your health and to have a long life for these dogs. And I also pray you have someone to take over this awsome rescue that loves these dogs as much as you do and carries on your legacy.
Boy, I love your heartwarming vulnerability, Lee! You're such an emotionally/spiritually healthy guy who embraced your masculine and feminine energies in a mind-blowing way! Many see in you merely the doggies unconditionally loving dad; I'm seeing much more: a genuinely compassionate warrior who'd always stand for the right thing at all costs, who'd be true to himself no matter what, who'd fight fiercely and fearlessly for what matters and is meaningful, who'd respect all his legitimate feelings and celebrate them even the most heart-wrenching ones! Hats off, my friend! I am so thrilled for all the lives you're impacting! 💙
She's beautiful, and it looks like she was well cared for and loved. I can't imagine how difficult it was to give her up, but it sounds like they were trying to do right by her. I'm glad Lee was able to take her in.
@@jennysmith8835 they cut them off when they are puppies as they are working dogs. It’s not allowed here in the U.K. anymore except if they are real work dogs. You can’t do it to pets!
Maggie is beautiful. I love her energy level. I love GSP’s. It can be difficult to understand what a high energy dog can be like, but when you have one, we can find ourselves pushing ourselves, trying to keep up with them. Attempting to outsmart them when they realize they can open doors. Loving them back deeply when they give you a hug and kiss. Smiling and understanding when the Veterinary technician tells you, they were just given a hug. Maggie is such a sweetheart.
Idk who had the toy, but Tommy the bulldog cracks me up with his always carrying something in his mouth. He was carrying the Jolly Ball a few videos back. He's hilarious 😂
The thing I love about you, Lee, is your willingness to show us your tears and struggles. The joy and the loss. That's what makes you so relatable and human. Love you buddy
My family owned GSP dogs most of my life, they're fantastic family pets but have soooo much energy. I am glad she has a place where she can run off that energy, the Asher House is perfect for her. My dad would go hunting with our dogs, and it was fantastic to hear about how they would make a zig zag pattern in front of him and then come back to check off, and then do it again. And now seeing the same tendency in Maggie makes me miss the pets we lost.
You’re going love her to the moon and back, you’re place is right where she needs to be, room to run and be free to point them birds. I just lost a Wirehair pointer that really devastated me. He was the most amazing dog I ever had the pleasure to share my life with. I will never forget the memories we shared so, I understand your grief over losing one. Maggie is absolutely gorgeous, welcome girl. 🥰 FYI: just in case your not aware, they could be known to bloat if they exercise to close to eating before or after a hard run.
I often read the comments before I post on your vids. I often see people expressing just what I want to say. But they say it much more eloquently... I put many likes on theirs, but each like is a re tweet of sentiment from an Asher House fan. Love you all, Lee and the A.H. work force 💓💕💞💗💖🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕✨️✨️✨️
It was so wonderful for you to educate us on dogs. How Maggy a GSP will run off, circle back and then just run off again, cycle repeat. We saw it in the video. Thank you for sharing your grief. I lost a friend of 15 1/2 years last month and realized tthere were only 21 days he wasn't by my side. His 10 year old son is heart broken. Be well.
I would love if Lee wrote a book about the dogs he has adopted, listed as the different breeds, their personalities and what the breed's history is... or just a wonderful collection of the adoption stories❤
I only recently discovered this channel and have been binging for weeks. The one thing these videos all have in common is that the moment the dog, or dogs, see Lee, they just know... Never a truer indication of a person's character right there. What an awesome example of humanity.
Just love Maggie ❤ I love it when Lee says “She is so perfect”. She really is perfect! I notice that you all refer to Maggie as a GSP, so it is with great humbleness that I write this input, but I think Maggie is of the French breed “Braque Francais (type Pyrenées)”. I did not now River, I am sorry for his passing and it is heartwarming to hear that Maggie is stepping in and brings such joy - she herself now lives a wonderful life at the Asher House. So, it is of course a minor detail what kind of dog she is, but got inspired from one of the comments suggesting that a list of all the breeds represented at the Asher House would be interesting. Thank you
So happy that you are happy 🙏❤️ I know the feeling, my boy passed after 13.5 years. It kills me everyday, but I found the perfect baby to help mend my heart! Furmily members definitely take a piece of us with them.

Hi Lee! Watched your video earlier, Maggie is such a sweet girl. After watching you, I got a alert from police in Muskegon county, this is Michigan. They rescued 78 dogs, that were in a home, all in cages. They said she rescued dogs, but apparently she would sell some. It just made me sick! They filmed it. It was on my internet, looked it up and it showed up and shows the people getting them. Thank god, they got them all, but sadly 8 puppies didn’t make it, they were found in a garage with other dogs, locked in there, and it’s winter, and lots of snow! Hopefully they will be taken care of and adopted out!
That's so sad. Here in Spain, it's the 'end' (supposedly) of hunting season. 1st February is being called by rescues 'Galgo Day'. Look up 'Galgos del Sol', magnificent work they do for these hunting throwaway dogs. Very similar to Greyhounds . If they aren't any good at hunting, hunters throw them on the streets. And Podencos (pods for short). And Iberian hounds. Breaks my heart every year. Have 5 rescues now.....
We are first time pointer owners and I can say our girl is one of my favorite dogs we have had. She is just so loving and cuddly. They are called Velcro dogs for a reason. As long as they get the exercise and care that is needed, they are great family pets. She is also one of the toughest dogs we have had too! 😆 Stubborn!!
The dogs that come to you must feel so free and loved with that first pack walk. That has got to be Heaven for them. Maggie looks in her element, where she was meant to be. Oh, lucky, lucky dogs to have you and the sanctuary, Lee.
She is so full of life. And she will help you with your grief. A great companion. I'm so happy for all your pups. You are just amazing with these animals. God bless you all ❤️
Lov8ng it all, to see each breed together, especially little baby husky and little rollie pollie pup! Cute as could be! They are so happy! And I'm glad ypu are too!
Thank you so much for saving Maggie.I see her on your posts and wondered what her name was. I don't live in the U.S but belong to many GSP pages on line. I see so many abandoned GSPs,it breaks my heart. I have 3. They are the most loving Velcro dogs. I cried along with you with the news of your beloved River passing. Never apologise for your public greiving. You're a beautiful human. ❤🐾🐾🐾
I love the look in your eyes when you get a new rescue ✨️♥️ They say the eyes are the windows to our soul ✨️ Your eyes... Are full of unconditional love, protection, safety, fun, passion, a future, light, laughter, and genuine happiness ♥️🙏 I see what a special soul you are, and I appreciate what you do for so many animals...our little innocent fir babies ❤️ you are a safe place to fall and to get back up, heal, feel safe, and have a life well deserved. You are a true educator and bring so much awareness. Thank You!!!
Lee, I've had dogs all my life. I know exactly what you mean about how it hurts to lose a special friend. I always say, when I lose my dog, that he or she took a piece of my heart with them. And, yes, it breaks my heart to lose one. But I look at it this way: When I lose one of my dogs, they take a piece of my heart. But I think I grow back an even bigger piece of my heart when I get a new dog. I've heard people say (after losing their beloved pet), "Oh, I was so crazy about that dog. It broke my heart. I'll never get another one." I don't understand that reasoning. It's like saying you'll never have another family member or (human) friend because one died. There's always room in the heart for another friend to love and care for, whether human or furry.
Lee is certainly an angel on rarth - his compassion & total love for any animal no matter breed, age, big or small, or state of health - Personally I just marvel how these dogs are all so accepting of new rescues coming in, just a sniff a hello from all the dogs & thats tha no snarling, no fighting no nasties just total acceptance as if to say " hi & welcome to the pack - you are in the best place you can be enjoy now lets go & play... "😊❤
We also had a beautiful friendly, energetic, busy Short-haired German pointer. It is so typical of them to run and never stop. Her name is 'Katryn'. We moved and our son has a farm and Katryn is now living with them, is so happy and in her element. Was very hard to let her go, but these dogs need space and absolutely loves water. They are so loyal and likes to run and fetch stuff and bring it to you. I can talk for days to describe that breed. Oh Lee your adopted one is in 7th heaven now..
Oh my goodness, Maggie is a dolly! 💘 It was so great to see all the doggies today, ♥️ they all look so good and so happy. 🥰 Thank you, thank you, thank you to Lee and the rest of the pack for all that you do every day and every night God bless, brother! 🙏💜✨🐾🐶🥰
Maggie is so beautiful, I'm so happy she has joined the pack and helps Lee heal from the loss of River. I know you never get over losing a furry friend but having another one is very healing. It's not replacing the one that's gone, it's just having a little piece of the physical touch from them. 🥰
I love the way your pack of so many breeds combine withou agri. I guess it is because they recognise you as their leader and know you love them all e.g. no jealousy. You are truly an Angel for helping so many animals. Love you and your Team & all the animals Lee.🙏❤️
She is beautiful we got our Maggie Sue from a shelter 12 years ago and she is one of the best things to happen to us. Thank you for saving so many beautiful animals ❤

CONGRATS again Lee, Maggie is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍 Another stellar rescue YAY !!! Have to say I love when you first meet a new rescue the WEEOH , WEEOH , WEEOH sounds you make to them ❣️❣️❣️
She's beautiful. Years ago when I lived in town, I had a neighbor dog who was a German short hair named Maggie. I used to give her treats through the fence. She was a lovely dog.

The dogs that come to you must feel so free and loved with that first pack walk. That has got to be Heaven for them. Maggie looks in her element, where she was meant to be. Oh, lucky, lucky dogs to have you and the sanctuary, Lee.
Watching these dogs on the walk is exactly what I imagine Rainbow Bridge is like. So glad these dogs get to experience heaven on earth!
You said it! Your place is made for her. River sent her to you 👼🐶
It just amazes me how you can say "come on guys" and they come right away. I've never been able to do that. You are amazing Lee.
She's gorgeous! Looks like she was treated well by her family 💞 Sooo happy for her and you.
She is so full of life. And she will help you with your grief. A great companion. I'm so happy for all your pups. You are just amazing with these animals. God bless you all ❤️
I totally agree with this comment💗💗💗💗
YOU ARE A STAR the way you didn't make that family feel unworthy or icky in any way for needing to surrender. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Lov8ng it all, to see each breed together, especially little baby husky and little rollie pollie pup! Cute as could be! They are so happy! And I'm glad ypu are too!
She's beautiful! Maggie will know quickly what a good life she's having with the Asher family.
Congratulations- you’re a Father again!!! Maggie is so sweet!!
I love the look in your eyes when you get a new rescue ✨️♥️
They say the eyes are the windows to our soul ✨️
Your eyes... Are full of unconditional love, protection, safety, fun, passion, a future, light, laughter, and genuine happiness ♥️🙏
I see what a special soul you are, and I appreciate what you do for so many animals...our little innocent fir babies ❤️ you are a safe place to fall and to get back up, heal, feel safe, and have a life well deserved.
You are a true educator and bring so much awareness. Thank You!!!
God definitely picked the right Man for loving and caring for all of the dogs, cats and animals ❤️ Your an Angel Lee♥️😇
I couldn’t agree with you more. Lee is an amazing man, so loving & caring to all his animals ❤
Amen to this comment 1000%❤❤❤❤
Lee, I've had dogs all my life. I know exactly what you mean about how it hurts to lose a special friend.
I always say, when I lose my dog, that he or she took a piece of my heart with them. And, yes, it breaks my heart to lose one.
But I look at it this way: When I lose one of my dogs, they take a piece of my heart. But I think I grow back an even bigger piece of my heart when I get a new dog.
I've heard people say (after losing their beloved pet), "Oh, I was so crazy about that dog. It broke my heart. I'll never get another one."
I don't understand that reasoning. It's like saying you'll never have another family member or (human) friend because one died.
There's always room in the heart for another friend to love and care for, whether human or furry.
Lee is certainly an angel on rarth - his compassion & total love for any animal no matter breed, age, big or small, or state of health - Personally I just marvel how these
dogs are all so accepting of new rescues coming in, just a sniff a hello from all the dogs & thats tha no snarling, no fighting no nasties just total acceptance as if to say
" hi & welcome to the pack - you are in the best place you can be enjoy now lets go & play... "😊❤
Oh Maggie...what a wonderful life you have ahead of you. You will be so loved and so cared for. Lee...I love how you love 🙏🙌❤️
You are such a gem. I admire everything you do for dogs. And btw the new addition to the pack is a beauty. ❤
She's so brave meeting all those dogs.
GSP are such awesome dogs! I love them! Thank you for giving Maggie all the Love she deserves!!
Loved seeing the walk … such joyful pup energy
🐾❤️🐾
Aahhh Lee, so jealous, my favourite breed. Glad you're smitten, you've a friend for life, big hugs
Oh my goodness, Maggie is a dolly! 💘 It was so great to see all the doggies today, ♥️ they all look so good and so happy. 🥰 Thank you, thank you, thank you to Lee and the rest of the pack for all that you do every day and every night God bless, brother! 🙏💜✨🐾🐶🥰
We have a German Shorthaired pointer mix. We love him. Had him for 10 years. He's our rescue. Brings so much life to our lives
Don't ever feel you have to hide your grief, and put on a happy face for us. We all know that the downside to loving an animal is how short their lives are.
We're here to help however we can ❤️❤️❤️
CONGRATS again Lee, Maggie is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍
Another stellar rescue
YAY !!!
Have to say I love when you first meet a new rescue the WEEOH , WEEOH , WEEOH sounds you make to them
❣️❣️❣️
This made my day…thank you for letting her run …she is magnificent… Love ❤
She's beautiful. Years ago when I lived in town, I had a neighbor dog who was a German short hair named Maggie. I used to give her treats through the fence. She was a lovely dog.
Way to go !
Maggie is the perfect addition. Looks like a sweet happy girl. who is having a ball!
Another very lucky dog!❤
