I like how the strongest enemy in these old movies literally waits there and act like a final boss.
He wasn’t acting
Final Fight/ Streets of Rage anyone....
Went to Bad Guy Acting school and everything.
Graduated with DisHonours

Jeffrey vs LeiFei
I didn't watch the full movie, but this guy is such a cool final enemy. He just stands there alone and waits for his enemy to come, fights clean, doesn't pull a gun or a knife when the fight does not go in his favor and 10:40 what a beast.

Was like a street fighter boss and stage with the plane taking off in the background 😂😂
Well yeah it's from that time and it's closely related. I really love the aesthetics of Hong Kong fighting movies from the late 80's, they are clean, classy the lightning is nice and there is this cool factor everywhere, from the actors clothing to the vehicles, the houses and clubs 😅 @@sasukeuchiha8801
Still a better fight scene then most new movies
9:11 I love how they added the consecutive blows to the arm, and the actor demonstrated how much it hurts. This is what sparing in a dojo is really like. You can block only so many punches or kicks to the same spot before it gets to you.
Ikr and it hurts like hell, getting hit on the same area many times 😶
The final boss awaits on the rooftop this is so 80s ❤
Yep and compare this to the garbage that is Revenge Of The Ninja. HK action ruled from 1970 - 1994.

Damn this choreography, it's so mesmerizing. I could get lost watching these incredible fights scenes for hours.
Why so obsessed? You want to be a karate instructor?
At least there’s no shaky cam
@@pauljohnson6019 Or Wing Chun IP man grandmaster.

Can we take time to appreciate Cynthia Khan handing out L’s please..she was MVP!!
can we also notice when they used a male stuntman for her. lol
the actor with glasses clearly slowed down his fighting for her.
This film was way underrated at that time. It remains one of the best fighting movies of Donnie Yen and Yang Li-Tsing (stage name: Cynthia Khan). This was Yang Li-Tsing's second movie and she was amazing!
7:16 Am I the only one in awe of how clean she bulldozed in to Donnie’s rescue?
donnie would have fucked him up
I miss Donnie Yens 80’s and 90s movies. Gonna have start watching them again!

Agreed, didn't care for Donnie's Ip Man films they pale in comparison with Warriors Two and Prodigal son.
I love how the person who had the least amount of experience in combat could actually hold his own
That woman is superb! One of the best female Kung-Fu choreography I've ever seen!
Cynthia Khan.
i just realized in most of the fight parts it was just her double
@@Shadow-fx5bf Yeah but those are the parts where the actor has to take blows. I noticed that too it was a bit annoying but the male actors probably outright refused to land full hits on women; or the director probably didn't allow it either. You gotta remember in HK/Asian action movies these are full body hits with light to no padding.
@@Shadow-fx5bf It's actually not a whole lot. Some of the back shots but she really is in the fray for 80% of it.
@@Shadow-fx5bf LOL Certainly not. She never uses doubles.
Didn't know that Donnie has actually acted when he was young. All I know is he is Ipman 🤣🤣
You been sleeping 💤 for decades mannnnnn 😂😆😂😆😂😆
Many of his movies are very great and funny
🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 His best fights are in his 90s movies- Iron Monkey, Oncen Upon A Time In China 2, In The Line of Duty 4, Dragon Inn. Flash Point is o one of his best.

This is my favorite movie of Donnie's. I cannot watch it without recollecting my adolescence when I was in a movie theater.
And I also like one of his movie 'Tiger Cage (maybe not right)'. In the two above movies, I guess he shows his maximum physical ability.
Oh, I hope that I will be able to see his past action movements.
where do u see
These movies are my childhood memories. Jackie and Donnie gradually brought their own fighting style into the HK fighting scenes. Top tier HK action movies are never the same since 1997.
I love Donnie and Jackie... Tony Jaa ain't so bad neither
Yep, the CCP wrecked everything with their interference.

@@breeason8993 Iko Uwais is also fantastic! He's like a new breed of the martial arts genre!

Are we going to ignore the fact that the girl beat two dudes and is fighting a third.
she's hot for doing that
She kicked some serious ass here
If no one was gonna point that out I definitely was about to!!!
yes, that was real female power then, comparing what`s going on today! Gender gap is a bad joke in this movie!
Yes, because thefirst little dude would be paralysed by then. Don't tell me you thought the rest was so realistic.
These fight choreography is better than many Hollywood fight scenes.
Karson Lusi ALL
=)
There is still a lot of good fight scene from west like Undisputed series, but they (and Scott Adkins) are obviously inspired by Hong Kong style and respect it.

he always had the coolest jacket
The final boss is Michael Wood, He, Donnie and the lady(Cynthia) were also in Tiger cage. Michael is good friend of Donnie, u can google that.
It's amazing how different he was in back 80s than the modern Master Ip, from personality to fighting style, it seems like an entirely different person.
China has 100,000 fight styles
because he is an actor, he is not Ip Man. His real personality is like you see in this movie.
@@emperadorzar2023 I know he is not ip man lol... What I meant that there are many actors but very few have such diverse roles as a personality or his many different fighting styles... He played every single role like a pro...
This was the Forshadow of Ip Man 3 against Mike Tyson! 😆
I agree bro
You can imagine if Tyson knew a lil kung fu😊
I dropped a similar comment on the fight between Donnie and Tyson
If this were a Bond film, it would have ended with Donnie, straightening his tie before walking off and saying ' I knew you'd fall for it'
That mercy scene between Michael Woods and Donnie Yen was always so cool to me
No record of Michael Wood. Googled the cast of this movie and his picture was replaced by a different person.

Donnie Yen has been at it for such a long time. It's a bit of a shame his breakthrough movie came so late.
You mean, his Western breakthrough with Ip Man? He was already well known throughout China by this point.
@@blusafe1 no, I'm Chinese. I'm well aware of Donnie Yen. Donnie didn't become "big" until the 00s and a star until Ip Man...before that he was mostly playing villains and TV series.
@@darkuser9992 You're Chinese? So you must know everything about Chinese culture and people. And what happens if I'm Chinese too?
I would say iron monkey was his breakthrough movie over here in the states, the movie was a big hit in the early 2000s even though it came out in 1993
Young Donny yen so smart
ohh man these kinds of movies remind me of my childhood

My fav movie of all time haha made my childhood 🙆🏽♂️ long live Donnie yen 🐐
I love Hong Kong style fighting !

am pretty sure Donnie Yen/Woo Ping was inspired by Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran with that wind up punch, first fight he did the wind up and in the 2nd fight he did the wind up motions with his back hand but mixed Duran up with a jabbed with his front hand,
Always cool to see real life Baddassery preserved in action movie baddassery! Its like an awesome Russian Nesting Doll :D
It was a trip to see how much they love the American flag in this scene!

I love how he magically changed directions at 5:15

A film back when skill instead of special effects was a determinent........
I mean most martial arts movies today barely use special effects
This was made 30+ years ago.... what's sad is that it's still better than some of thes "Hollywood" action scenes TODAY!.
Most actually
0:26 same parking structure as Righting Wrong with Yuen Biao and Cynthia Rothrock
Donnie Yen is better than Jackie Chan. He's always been in incredible shape! I like how Donnie combines techniques from different styles. Kung fu, taekwondo and jui jitsu all in one.
golden age of chyntia khan..so cute and pretty..

You know its the final boss when he waits at the rooftop 👍
Donnie Yen is sic and so was this flick. A lot of good MA's in this flick too, if you know your 'ol school kung flicks!👊😎

Donnie is handsome
What about young Jackie Chan?
both are with surgery, believe me! but yen still looked much better than jacky that looks like a little bit clown face haha
Has anyone noticed no one in this movie needs a stunt double?
Literally everyone is super atheletic and talented.
Literally, everybody was kung fu fighting!!!
There are stunt doubles included
Look again. Their lady friend Cynthia Khan has double all throughout the scene that's why she looked like a man from behind.
stunt double for Donnie Yen @10:12 + 11:10
That flip to break the hold was definitely a stunt double
That powerful opponent of Jet Li in Once Upon a Time China 2 looks so helpless here....But this fight look soooo freaking REAL.... Awesome

Donnie yen and Bruce Lee are my great inspiration in Martial arts🥋
Gotta love old school Asian fighting movies. They don't cut it like Hollywood.
It’s almost jarring seeing young Donnie Yen lol and I’ve been watching his stuff for 20 years!
Just like in double dragon 2 on the NES. Kick the boss off of the roof.
The guy with glasses was pretty good
Best movie, and i wish Hollywood takes notes of that.
80s & 90s HK films are my favorite action films and Donnie Yen is without a doubt one of my most favorite martial artists and action choreographers
Balrog caught a punch with his chest😖😂
Michael Woods is built like Bolo Yeung
I met Yen and Mike Woods (the bad guy) at a mall in Boston together. Great guys.
11:14 that eyes 👀 looking Donnie muscle 💪 😂
The final boss dude have fighting skills a lot like Scott Adkins.

Donnie Yen It's So Handsome! 😍😍

NB - Donnie doubled Cynthia Khan for the more elaborate kicks. Donnie started out as a double in 1982's Miracle Fighters for the Yuen Clan.
Anh chung tử đơn, vừa đẹp trai lại còn đánh giỏi nữa!
OMG there needs more kung fu movie. I am so tired of the sci fi action computer stuff.
Donnie Yen is so fast he's quicker than the sound effects lol.
The final fight was amazing. :D It is a good guy usually in the movies who takes a breath, stands up and be much stronger then but in this movie, a bad guy had this ability too which helped to gain some extra power from the inner wish. :) This black guy was muscular and strong anyways as well he was skilled also but his come back was just amazing. Nice to see such a rage fight!
Closest thing we’ll ever get to Goku vs Jiren
This is way out of its league.
Classic kung fu movie
With the legendary Donnie Yen and the legendary kung fu queen Cynthia Khan
In The Line of Duty 4 is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and STUNNINGLY AMAZING 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Check out the rest of the series as well. The third movie features Cynthia Khan and Kamen Rider himself Hiroshi Fujioka.
7:47 KUNG LAO vs JAX .
That girl took on 3 of them....
What a badass.
I forgot thr black guy's name, Frederick Williamson or something like that. That guy's a beast. And he could fight back in the day.
Fred williamson is the in original inglorious bastards. This is Michael Wood.
He was also in tiger cage 2 with Donnie Yen.
Yeah, only Donnie could take on the final boss. His other party members were under leveled
Rpg logic FTW!
@Chaxie Forni she would of gotten thrown off the roof.
Yes it gooood because donney yen just show good accountability on the national
The voice overs are hilarious but I love this movie
