  • Welcome to Montana whitewater’s Gallatin River operation, located near the big sky Montana, north of the west entrance to Yellowstone Park.
When you arrive at our genuine log home headquarters, you will greeted by our friendly staff who will lead you through the experience of getting on the river.
Your tour begins and ends at our office, where after the trip you can shop for cool souvenirs and purchase photos of yourself rafting awesome whitewater.
The Gallatin offers the most challenging whitewater rafting near Yellowstone Park.
We also have trips to suit every ability level from ages 6 and up.
Our full day raft trip starts with some scenic floating through mountain meadows. The river builds in size and speed as you enter the steep and rocky Gallatin canyon.
We stop for lunch at a beautiful picnic area where our guides prepare an all you can eat hoagie sandwich extravaganza.
We also serve sodas or water, chips and cookies.
Relax a bit after lunch and get ready for an awesome afternoon of whitewater
Our boats normally hold 6-8 people.
We also off 2-3 person mini rafts for a more exciting ride.
If you are looking for even more of a challenge, try an inflatable kayak.
The Gallatin is a small volume river.
Generally speaking we have high water levels in June, medium water levels in July, and low water levels in August.
We have different sections of rivers that we run depending on water levels and our client’s preferences.
We have a more challenging section, with a mile and half of continuous whitewater, known as the mad mile.
We also have a less challenging section with fun and short class 3 rapids.
Along with our most challenging trips, we have a expert safety catarafter.
The safety cat is there to help out, should there be any swimmers.
Its important that people paddle, participate and obey their guide.
Our guides are trained in swift water rescue and we are very proud to say that our long time Gallatin River guides are some of the most experienced whitewater guides in the area.
Our lead guides teach our annual guide school, which is attended by trainees and locals looking to learn more whitewater skills.
Join us for a rafting trip on the Gallatin River.
No matter what water level, or which section you run, you are guaranteed an unforgettable experience.
