How to Float the Madison River!!! (Montana)

This is an informational video on floating a 6.5 mile section of the Madison River between Bozeman Montana and Norris Montana.

*The float is 6.5 miles and lasts between 2 and 3 hours depending on the time of year and size of your group.
*The rivers depth fluctuates year around from as little as 5 inches in some spots to over 5 feet in others.
*There is no need for a paddle on this beautiful stretch of the Madison, just get in and relax.
*The Madison River is a Headwater Tributary approximately 183 miles long, starting in Wyoming and ending in Montana where it converges with the Jefferson and Gallatin Rivers to form the Missouri River.

Great question, most people leave a vehicle in the lot at the end on their way up or carpool with friends. There are also bus tours that drop you off at the top with a tube and pick you up at the bottom when you finish.
