John petroci makes the most technical and most rapid and sophisticated music for guitar, and although he never misses anything on lives.... that's why his my music promise. Not only because of categories , or he is chosen for top bests, no, John Petrucci and dream theater's music are part of music soul, go straight to my heart...
Frankly, there is no instrumental player who does not make mistakes. So sometimes he also makes a mistake. For example, t here are a few obvious missed notes in unison around 4:34 and the stroke around 17:22 is unstable. Guitar playing is not video game scoring, so it doesn't matter if he make a mistake or not. Not making mistakes does not necessarily point to a great performance or level of instrumental player.
He most definitely has fucked up many times, just look up as I am live in Chile, the solo was fucking awful lol he is a human just like everyone else after all. As a matter of fact, he played some wrong notes in the intro for this song lol
I saw him playing live first time in 2012 and he was already not as accurate as some years before. Then he became gradually worse until last years when he started to made mistakes every fast line like in this videos. Sad but It is what it is. Goodbye master
It looks like they scrapped John lip syncing the backing tracks. GOOD! Actually singing may not be perfect but its a million times better and just more authentic Great vid
