Nikon P1000: Massive Multi Zoom Test - Island to Island to Island
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 кві 2019
- I am heading back out with the #Nikon #P1000 for more #Multizoom tests and this time I am heading even further out into Auckland Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island, Auckland youngest volcano and one of the best places to get a look at Auckland.
That’s is
Unless
It Rains.
Yes unfortunately my luck with Rangitoto hasn’t changed which means what was forecast as beautiful sunny day ended up rather damp.
But that ok I still managed to get some footage and this is actually one of our biggest zooms ever shooting at both 20KM and 40KM for what will hopefully appease some of the fans who wanted to see just how this camera can zoom.
If you enjoy the video or just feel like being nice to me, please leave a like and subscribe to the channel.

That is pretty amazing the detail you can see with this camera at 20 km and 37 km away on this grey looking day. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Dave!
ah, if there was sunny weather, it would be generally cool!👍👌
Rain plagues me whenever I go this island!!!

Great zoom test 👍
Thanks Giuseppe! Glad you liked it
Will the P1000 we useful at airshows? Is the autofocus fast enough for objects moving at high speeds?
Hey starfish it’s pretty quick but it’s a bit unstable at longer zooms. Smaller faster planes I haven’t had any experience with yet so I can be 100% on that.

Great Video ... I already possess the P1000 and love it . You definitely need TriPods if you are to Zoom to far distances .
Absolutely mate, im looking to upgrade from what I am using as its not as stable as I would like and the head movement is way to jittery.

Earth circumference is 40075 km
So we applied pithagoras theorem from earth radius over our hight (a* + b* = c*)
If our hight is 162
Calculation like below.
a* + (6381)* = (6381+0.00162)*
Finally we got 4.5 km. Over horizon
So the man who 162 cm hight he can able to see only 4.5 km thn how this gus zoom 20 km 😂😂😂😂😂😂

That Canon zoom needs to be concrete base mounted for stability😂

Yup and I need to invest in a better tripod to hopefully improve the jitters. Or I may just be bad at this its hard to say :D
@@SuperZoomVideos My problem is the video head. I've got a good solid tripod but the video head is way too flimsy for my P1000. I mean you're going to get jitters as you say but a good setup will help reduce it. I'm just not sure I want to spend the money on a beefier video head.

@@aminsaadalla2335 Pythagorean Theorem says 8 inches per mile squared.
+Amin Saadalla Also, calculations using only the Pythagorean Theorem do not take into account Earth's atmosphere. But let's ignore that fact for the moment... This video was shot from 260 meters elevation meaning that when using only the Pythagorean Theorem, the horizon is expected to be about 57 km from the observer. The land mass at 37 km appears just as is should from a spheroid planet.

Hey Eng, Im in New Zealand so Russia is a bit far north for me. Also not sure how snooping around Russia with a lens that large might go down.........
SuperZoom Videos I don’t understand the lens that large might go down, but I thanks for answer me.
Eng. EAR JR sorry a bit too much kiwi slang, I think the local law enforcement might be wondering why a foreigner needs a camera that big in Russia. 😉
SuperZoom Videos I understand. but it is because science is in decline. The more people try to do independent experiments, the more they try to arrest us. I wanted very much to get the lake totally frozen, and with a polishing machine, I would like to guarantee the surface of the water leveled and then, using a camera of this with superlenses, and to make the biggest test of curvature in the world, because the experiments could be verified on the surface because there were no waves, and everyone could walk on the surface of the frozen lake, checking the experiment. for example, the calculation of the curvature says that we should have a convex surface but the truth we find the surface totally straight and flat. Unlike the sea that has waves, the fully confined side would not have.

@@florencegomer7937 are you going to post on every comment ?
@@florencegomer7937 I know as a fact we don't live on a ball as claimed in the Whoville Heliocentrism cult model but agree with you until your refraction claim which would vary with conditions.
Videos at this elevation don't support the plane Earth realization but there are thousands of videos taken from elevations closer to sea level that do.
When you're 100 miles off shore do you believe you're 6,666 ft above sea level at the shore?
If you were standing on the beach do you believe the beach ten miles up or down the coastline is 66.6 feet below you? How about a 1 mile lake... 8 inches out of level? If this is what you believe can you please explain why based on your personal experience?
Michael Rutledge 67 ... Places that are level with each other are all at the same distance from the centre of the earth. Level is not the same as flat.
Relating the drop figure to some other location is irrelevant. What is more useful is the hidden height figure based on observer height and distance to object. There is the pure geometric hidden height as well as the small variations due to refraction.
