What the world needs right now is an entire large series of how to magnetize the entire range for different weapons configurations. It's harder to do than you think.
@@NogrimStoneson yup just a standard round magnet hole where the connective areas of the pieces are and easy for us and they save a tiny bit of plastic
@@NogrimStoneson Or even easier, start making articulated models with pegs, I still can't believe when I first saw these, then saw the price, then found out they weren't even articulated.
Forgefiend kit is one of the better models to convert a knight with. Mostly because of it two gatlings that can be used as double avenger cannons on the despoiler.
Been loving this series of videos Jon! Hope you don't mind suggestions, but I think it'd be cool to also bring up the older models to compare in these videos if they have one. Like in the case of the Necrons showing the new wraiths compared to the old ones. Or in this one the old Epic 40K Knights to their modern form. It's one of my guilty pleasures to show people newer to the hobby a model, then show them how different/better (or sometimes worse) they look compared to the older one. Just gives a weight to the history of a range you know? Don't know if that is a ressonable suggestion for this format of videos. Since I could see it dragging them out too long or requiring too much prep time. But I thought I'd suggest it anyways. Can't wait to see the next one!
I love that idea. I was thinking about doing something like with Necrons since they changed massively during my break from the hobby. Coming back and seeing how completely different the Wraiths and Tomb Spyders were to what I owned and stuff was crazy.
11:30 my exact reaction to chaos knights, the moment they were announced i knew i had to have it, irrespective of the fact i was in the middle of making a speed freaks army
I was thinking of getting into knights. Currently in mind I want to take a handfull of armigers because having more bodies on the table sounds like a good idea for the basics of combat; positioning, firing lanes, taking objectives. Then having the bigger knights do the killing.
Armiger knights are used by lower members or vassals of a knight house, they also don't have the throne mechanicus that a knight has and instead use a downgraded variant that pretty much makes the slaves to a real knight
Kiriroth, if you dislike the helms on Armigers I've seen dozens of really, really nice ones on 3D Printing sites, it might worth trying to get ahold of one of them.
I started a quest to bash everything i fancied for my Sororitas and began with Armigers didnt turn out as well as i hoped since im a novice but im gonna keep going the goal is the Mighty Faithblade some day
My Chaos knights currently consist of a Knight Tyrant with volcano lance and plasma destructor and a Knight Rampager, long term plans include two Knight Desecrators and two Knight Despoilers.
lol I didnt know those knights were the first one but the blue one is the one that made me interested in watching the tabletop. I dont even necessarily want to play it but I do want that knight
Weird picture for the Chaos one as you say. It is the Chaos one from the Renegade box. But it doesn't really look chaos until you add the markings to it. I can't find the busted facemask on the sprues, but I am still looking, as I also have the Desecrator/Ravager knight so I plan to take parts from both these sets to make two good chaos knights. I am building my first knight now, and it is a nice set, but that will be an Imperial Freeblade.
Yay video reviews about chaos knights are hard to come by. Just wish they would expand on the line a bit more though. Like make a chaos version of wardogs...or atleast sell a converaion kit for them. This is why GW keeps losing to 3rd party sellers.
I have the Chaos Knight Rampager, it's just sick af with the two cc weapons. I also have two Wardogs with autocannons, their guns remind me of lances the Knights of old used, with the shields they have at the base of the barrel. Just a small detachment of Lords of War for now.
Bulking out big papa knight, extend the thigh bones by cutting-pinning-filling. Also, you mentioned wires etc. Have you ever used your broken guitar strings for piping?
I have several Knights unbuilt in my stack of shame and have since fallen to Chaos and begun collecting Death Guard / Nurgle... Cant decide between converting or selling them and getting the new Chaos Knights
I feel you with the castellan thing I didnt saw one in table but in the pictures i see They dont seem to be that much bigger comparing with a regular knight
I'm angry that GW was so lazy as to not change the Admech Icon of the reactor and weapon to the one of the dark mechanicus. it's a 100+USD kit for Christ's sake.
Ive got 2 chaos knights, 1 rampager and a custom despoiler which has sylvaneth dryads growing out of the carapace with grass and moss etc. Theyre by far the most customisable models ive seen. The next one i get's gonna be dragging an anchor behind him hehehe
Have been in the hoby for just over a year. My dream is to make a knight army with proper heraldry and iconography because half my intrest in knights are the lore and feudal asthetics
uh if i got like the blue Imperial Knights. i would chage the litte arm guns to better one like mini guns or rockets. i like the blue and red chaos and imperial. but i don't like the way that the in imperial has litte guns. i mean you got the guardsman with lasguns and they don't work well at orks so thats rubssh . so maybe i would put miniguns on the blue ones
The castellan for me Need some kind of protective plate in the hip I mean there is a gap betwin the torso and hips that can be exploited by une of my sanguinary smash captains to rip and tear the knight easily
I do like the new rampager kit, but as someone who heavily converts all their chaos knights, the blank slate of standard knights is just too good to pass up. I have about 20 knights now, and only 1 of the rampager, that might change in the future, but it has a lot of things that would need to be removed to make future builds look totally different to the box-stock one 😅 Also, thicc knights with their harpoon launcher should have been chaos only, waaaaay too metal for the filthy loyalist knights 😂
I want the Warden cos it has my colours on the front of the box. I just have pluck up the courage to drop £80 on the damn thing. My brother got a Desecrator cos he's a filthy heretic but he's yet to paint any of his 60-strong army
This is probably going to get me some flak but... I have never been excited by a knight kit. I have never thought, even for a moment, that I might want one. They just somehow look dull to me. There's nothing there that interests me.
Any model: Is taller than a Primaris
Kirioth: G I R T H

That knight despoiler is even move confusing when you realise Chaos Knights can’t even take Las-Impulsors
Chaos knight Rampager is my favourite by far, would love to do Dark Mechanicus with Chaos Knight and War Dogs but can't afford at the moment!
As someone with 1500 pts of kitbashed AdMech and knights, I can relate!
3:25 Saw a kitbash with a Forgefiend, both heads fit! Even the arm weapons fit well for the arm weapons, so more chaos options.
Can’t wait for the Cerastus vid. Picked up a Lancer and it was a dream to build and paint!

I think Kirioth just can’t not alter every mini he gets. He looks at every mini and says to himself “I like it...but I can make it better...”

me sitting with 8 armiger class knights and 1 "normal" knight: how dare you >:(
armiger knight best knight

Mikaela K. Yea but they are little cuties with their stumpyness. I have 2 Warglaives and 2 Helverins to go along with my knights :)
You should do a range review of all named primaris characters
Valiant: because harpoon.
Just finished mine
Hope the health of you and your family is on the rise Kiri. Thanks for all the content as well.
the war gleives were originally industrial robots used in colonizing planets, they were later converted to war machines.

realy wanna build a Desecrator into a paladin now... but with the lockdown i cant get the kit...

The stubbiness of warglaives can be fixed by making the chain weapon actually a glaive.
Where is the link for the spacers?
It was in the description when I saved it, sorry about that. No idea why it vanished, I've added it back in.
To fix the war dog carapace weapon issue, I converted to forgefiend cannons on top of mine to make it menacing!
I should get round to building and painting my knight but I'm busy with Orks and Skaven at the moment.

You should review the Harlequin model range next! It should only take about 30 seconds...
I put two avenger gatling cannons on the top of the carapace where the two rounded vent things are
Really like this style video

They should add these models to kill team.
I'm planning on getting a summer job so I can afford a chaos knight or two
I think the Armigers need skinnier kegs and a bigger gun on top. I also agree on the chainswords needing to be longer for them.
It says the despoiler has the las-impulsor but renegade knights can't use the weapon
...I totally forgot about that.
what large weapons can a despoiler take?
Knight Valiant sounds like a superhero name.
Has anyone tried doing a army of melee only knights?
I have 40 Imperial Knights, 14 of which are Armigers. The rest are full size from a Paladin to a Porphyrion.

The Valiant for me, because it's so loaded it's crazy!
I just ordered one, bit I'm fretting about the size of this model. I may sell it, Kirioth just confirmed my fears.
