- Starting in iPadOS 16, you can use Stage Manager to multitask and get things done with ease. Resize windows to look the way you want, see multiple overlapping windows in a single view, tap to switch between apps, and more. Here’s how it works on supported models, including iPad Air (5th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), and iPad Pro 11-inch (all generations).

İpad air 4 owners wants stage manager, please..
I switched to iPad Pro m2 for stage manager. Never used it LOLLLLL Anyway the ram prob ain’t enough anyway so might as well upgrade if u really need it
@@razcanada4944 i have an ipad air 4 do recommend switching to iPad Pro ? And which one you think is better the 12.9 or 11 inch
Sameeee
@@ehme6971 11 inch is perfect for me. I don’t have big hands. But the speakers seem to not be loud enough in some situations. I recommend picking up the 12.9 inch if you don’t mind the bigger size and heavier weight.
@@ehme6971 11 inch does have better battery life
I absolutely love Stage Manager both on my iPad and my headless Mac mini via VNC and Sidecar. I use it every day, all day. Best way for me to compute. I only wish Apple would make my headless Mac mini / iPad way of computing a native option out the box.
Please release it for iPad mini, I think A15 chip should good enough for this function.
I love Stage Manager on my iPad Pro.
Great apart from the three dot menu. Why not use the red, yellow and green buttons from macOS?
Stage manager is so good for me i really love this
I love stage manager, I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE for Apple to design the iOS to allow for extended monitor by airplay or screen mirroring option but open on the extended monitor in full mode as it does connecting by usbc, allowing this would reduce the needed cables as you already have so many things that have to be set up to use extended monitor environment, connect keyboard and mouse by Bluetooth, change settings to stay awake when lid closes, change settings for larger apps, larger font, etc we definitely need this to function while the screen is in sleep mode, there is no reason for the iPad screen to run unless one wants this option. So love it and it needs some tweaking.
So complicated ux
For an old dog like me, yeah... It feels complicated, too. Will probably never use it myself, but happy to know the option is there when I might need it. 😁
Thanks, this is so useful. Greets from Mexico.
I have this iPad (5th generation) thanks apple for doing this ❤
This is a really cool feature
Thank you!
I don’t have an iPad that supports Stage Manager, but I’m still happy to use Stage Manager on macOS
iPad 9th Gen needs this 🙏🏼
I hope he gets added for iPad mini five in the future. I have an iPad mini five.
We want Stage Manager support in iPadOS 17 on iPad Air 4! Too bad a processor newer than iPad Pro 2018 doesn't get this support. Also, the amount of ram is the same.
Well that is a shame because the iPad Pro m2 is awesome but I want an iPad Pro m2
I don’t have money and my parent won’t afford this iPad Pro m2
bro iPad Air gen 4 needs this! I need this but I don’t think it’s worth a whole nother ipaddddd
So excited to try this out!
I LOVE THIS ON MY M1 iPad Air
I use stage manager on the iPad Air 5 when I’m making the Keynotes for my church and it honestly streamlined my workflow so much compared to my PC.
I don’t understand. On your PC, you have multiple options to manage different windows - snapping, alt-tab switching, multiple desktop switching, etc.
Yeeeeeeeiiiii...I got my Ipad 10th gen last month and it doesn’t support this cool feature even tho it’s a one of latest devices on list.
finally available on other ipads
I like the windowing, it’s fantastic and I use it all the time, but “app groups” have to go. It’s confusing, and awkward when switching between apps in different groups. I have no use for grouping a subset of the apps that I am currently using.

This is genius
Can we have something like Mission Control from the Mac when in Stage Manager on iPad?
Thx
Stage manager on iPad Air 4 pls
They need to improve this. It’s a hassle to make everything or the main window you are focused on full screen.
We hope to make it available on the iPhone also for those who do not need a desktop computer, make the iPhone a pocket computer like Samsung Galaxy devices
Hello Dear Apple,
Is there any possibility of bringing this feature to other İPad models. For instance, i've got an İPad 9th generation. Can i get this feature in the future? I am wondering this question, really.
Please add Stage manager to iPad 8th generation
I just got my iPad 10th generation and i was really excited about stage manager but now you tell me this!? Please add stage manager to 10th gen😭
IPad mini wants this
great
How come IPad Air 4th generation isn’t supported?
Yea
It’s has an A14 chip. Stage Manager requires an M chip (like on Air 5), or A12X chip and above (as long as its the X version)
Do you ever have plans to bring stage manager to all iPads?
I wish my iPad 10 has a stage manger
ipad air 4 please;(
Cane apple update iPhone like this? And update iPhone for universal Control Keyboard and mouse to. For easy working office.. plss.. tq..
Please put it on ipad 10 too
Ipad 9th gen needs stage manager
I just use it to see the dock. It’s like macOS 😊
swipe down from the bottom of the screen to not that high up not hard, you’re welcome
turning an ipad into a mac great idea apple!
Why arent they any horizontal split view on ipad? You should start implementing freesize windowing and forgo with the 3 dots and bottom bar because its messing with some apps.

iPad 9th gen owners need stage manager
If this is supported on the 2017 MacBook, I can easily see this being supported on A13 iPads and newer. Is there a reason to why they aren't supported there? macOS Ventura virtual machines with 4 GB of Ram can support Stage manager just fine, just a question that I had.
Cause they want at least 10.9” display, and that’s already pushing it
10.2” is too small
@@himynameisryan but the iPad Air with A14 doesn’t support it, it has the same screen size as the M1 iPad Air.
What is the benefit of using Stage Manager?
Having 4 phones at the same time using 4 vertical windows. Drawing reference etc while drawing or taking notes.
*Cries in IPad 9 gen*
Cries in air 4
Can you help me how to turn off the split screen on my iPad thank youPlay excuse me I have dementia and I have trouble so could you turn off the split screen please
One way to close Split View is to drag the app divider left or right, over the window that you want to close.

I don’t get it. I think the standard multitasking is way better, waaaay more screen real estate, better and easier organization. Maybe I just haven’t found a workflow where this is more useful or better than the regular/old multitasking 🤷🏻♂️

What is the point of having two apps next to each other, other than how it looks? I don’t understand. Maybe a bit more explanation on that please? How can it change/improve my workflow?
it lets people multitask better. like watching a youtube video and taking notes, or writing an document with a webpage for reference. also makes it easier for people to drag and drop content from one app to another because they're both on the screen. also more powerful than the split view ipad currently has because it supports four apps at the same time instead of just two.

Stage manager needs App Exposé
You’re telling me my tenth-gen iPad isn’t capable of running Stage Manager??? No wonder it’s only five hundred quid. If it somehow seems to be capable of running Stage Manager, will my A14 Bionic Chip explode and kill my iPad? Is the M1/M2 chip like some magical thing that makes iPads do anything, even reset itself? *hehe* ? I think my 10th gen iPad is totally capable of running Stage Manager! Its screen size is basically the same as an 11 inch iPad Pro. And more importantly, even my worser iPad 8th gen looks t9 me that it’s capable as well. So get Stage Manager to support iPads like the 10th gen, 9th gen, 4th gen iPad Air, etc., maybe just limit, say, the number of apps you could have open. Okay?
No.
Why can’t we use it with iPad 10?
The amount of ram
