Thats a good point, not many michigan fans really think Hoyer sucks, they say he's okay bcuz we hate him. I hope he does good with the Pats but come on just look at the stats.
@PortlandSpartan, I've been watching this video even before I was an actual student here. I graduate in a week. As a gift could you do another video with "the Series" as the music only with updated plays etc?
The only mistake he may have made was running the spread offense with last year's pro style offense. That being said at least now everyone can run the offense well, and you had a way better RB and QB who wasn't an incoming freshmen.
I agree there is no way you will be the underdog unless your 0-4 or 1-3 coming in. Not many frosh are playing key roles besides QB. The ball can always be handed off to the experienced Minor.
Hey when i was like 5 years old i was a michigan fan, some of my best memories are of watching games with my dad, my dad was a die hard michigan fan, by the way... Now my dad bleeds green, because he sees how dick rod comes in and gets rid of all tradition, like recruiting in-state first. I however switched to being a green and white fan, when i couldn't explain why michigan sucked at everything else than football. Michigan is nothing like the old michigan, i wouldn't take their side any more.
have you heard the actual audio of when dantonio said the moment of silence remark? probably not because all of you wolverine fans bring it up...he was in the middle of a radio show, and someone brought it up to him that michigan lost...he, being annoyed because someone interrupted a discussion about his own teams win responded by saying..."ok so do you want us to have a moment of silence? lets get back to our game." he was by no means trying to belittle MSU which cannot be said for Mike Hart
I agree that you guys got a better defense. However Forcier is extremely accurate compared to last years never accurate. I think Forcier is better. Michigan's got a depth of great RB and WR Matthews, Minor, Odoms, Hemmingway, Stonum, Roundtree, Vincent Smith, Shaw, Grady. Besides if Forcier is having a bad day, he always has the Minor option.
If you're gonna go with rebuilding, don't forget that State's rebuilding, for hockey, i mean we won the national championship what a couple years ago, i mean come on rebuilding, in our 'rebuilding' year, we went 7-6 in football.
i mean, he is recruiting the fuck out of the 2009 class, so i mean you might want to get your shit straight, he is a great coach, and i guarentee last year when state lost those 3 or 4 straight games they would never have beaten purdue and penn state at the end of the season to get a bowl with fucking jls or bobby, dantonio is the fucking man
Michigan went 3-9 because we had to run Steven Threet in spread offense. This year we will kick your ass because we will have a great player in Tate Forcier who can run the system.
No it wasn't when the QB, RB, and WR enter for the draft, and on top of that you switch your coach, you switch systems, and the defense is put on a lot of pressure playing so many minutes a day and getting tired.
I knew about the shared title from 1997. They haven't won an outright championship since 1948. The shared a title with Nebraska in 1997 but most experts believe Nebraska should have had it all to themselves. They closed it out barely? So what? How many times has UM barely beat State? UM has barely won all of their games this season except for WMU. So bringing up how State barely won is a very weak arguement.
If I'm a bandwagon team why would I like Michigan right now? I have never liked any other team. If I was a bandwagon fan, I would like Texas, USC, Florida, etc., but I'll like Michigan when their team beats your ass, and I still liked them last year.
Its not like UofM had absolutely no talent. There were flashes of what that football team could have been. Look at the wisconsin and minnesota (who was a successful football team) games. Dick Rod could have done a little something more with Michigan football
I said the qbs didn't deserve to play division 1, and yes by having a good class we can kick your ass cause your on a down year with a qb battle, and switching RB. He's 195 lbs and you were off by 65 lbs. I'm not putting all my faith in him. Minor, Matthews, Smith, Odoms, Robinson, Hemmingway, Roundtree, Brown, Van Bergen, Warren, Ezeh, Graham, Martin.
I live in Lansing and I hate the Spartans. All the talk is about beating Michigan, a task that couldn't be done until barely beating Michigan's worst team is history.
Our coach is better than Dantonio. He's one of the premier spread offense coaches, and just because he went 3-9 with players who don't deserve to play division 1 doesn't make him a bad coach.
NICK MOORE, NICK MOORE, NICK MOORE, NICK MOORE, NICK MOORE If UM is better how come they haven't beaten MSU in 2 years? Do UM fans live in a bizzaro world where the winning team sucks and the losing team is good?
A lucky game? State dominated UM the whole game until UM decided to wake up and play in the middle of the 4th quarter when the only good player on your team Tate Forcier tried to carry the team on his shoulders. Was the victory over UM last year lucky too? We got lucky 2 years in a row or is scUM just not a good team anymore? P.S. CMU would beat UM too. I would rather lose to the best team in the MAC and one of the best QB in the nation than lose to last place Toledo.
CMU would beat UM too. CMU's QB would destroy scUM's defense and will probably be a !st or 2nd round pick the the draft next spring. The Chips are the best team in the MAC so it's not like State lost to the worst team in the MAC like UM did last season when they got roasted by Toledo and allowed their no name WR Nick Moore to get like 300+ yards. You make weak arguements son!
It's just the logic you use. You can't call someone a bandwagon fan just because he likes a team you hate. And you might want to lay off the crazy insults and personal attacks man. Oh yeah and states history is really bad do some research. You cant close out games in the 4th quarter and you cant beat Michigan. You also cant beat CMU lol. The basketball excuse is dumb because were talking about football.
GO SPARTANS! Mark Dantonio is changing this football program for the better! Can't wait for '09 season!
I LOVE that you set these highlights to the drumline. That series is like going to war. Great job! Hope you update it!
This is a sweet video. Well Done. I'm a Michigan student/fan, so that speaks volumes about it!
Go Blue!
This is really well-done. I can't believe some of the footage you found (the Bubba Smith shot was my favorite). Great job, dude! Go State!
danantonio is my fav msu coach
this is some crazy good editing sweet video
New era baby! Go State!
i love this college
8 years later... ;)
It's HILARIOUS reading all the BS from UM fans
now its 9 years later =)
great video
MSU will rise again.
Thats a good point, not many michigan fans really think Hoyer sucks, they say he's okay bcuz we hate him. I hope he does good with the Pats but come on just look at the stats.

LITTLE BROTHER!!!!!! GO BLUE!!!
Michigan doesn't try to recruit instate. They recruit nationally. They recruited a top ten recruiting class last year.
The only mistake he may have made was running the spread offense with last year's pro style offense. That being said at least now everyone can run the offense well, and you had a way better RB and QB who wasn't an incoming freshmen.
So they got lucky against UCLA, Duke, Illinois, Purdue, Penn State, Minnesota twice, and Clemson. Those random threes seem to work.
Michigan has the tenth highest recruiting in the nation. They will be back in 2009 or 2010
I agree there is no way you will be the underdog unless your 0-4 or 1-3 coming in. Not many frosh are playing key roles besides QB. The ball can always be handed off to the experienced Minor.

@fallen17hack guess that one didnt work out

At least we beat you convincingly at hockey.
So your saying that MD could take Steven Threet and win 6 games easily.
until michigan state beats gvsu in basketball this case is closed

The 2nd part of that statement is false.
Threet is much worse than Hoyer. You can't compare a half way decent qb who started for two years with a "last second" qb with switching coaches.
two the coach of m.s.u. your rivals were u play football are easy i hate to say this butt this is the south prepare yourself

26-20. If MSU sucks then UM sucks worse.

they dont play good teams. big ten is overrated
