    Idc what anyone says this is the most satisfying farming UA-cam channel out of them all. I understand there's bigger acreage and bigger equipment but grant and Spence beats em all. Keep it up fellas 💪

    OK, the "homeless mans catch pan" comment earned you just earned you a subscriber. I am from way back when a roll of rebar wire, electrical tape and a pair of fencing pliers could fix damn near anything that broke, at least long enough to finish the day. You have the 'Git'r done' attitudes that far too many younger folks have lost. Best of luck!

    I know it's aggravating with break downs, however it's a great way for 2 young guys to learn about the equipment. You both will be good mechanics in no time. Carry on guys you are doing great.

    With some of the parts you need on that header and stuff, look into bulk or surplus. Shop around during the off season. Chains and belts, bolts, as well if you can, helps when places are closed or to far out or waiting on stock.

    Try cutting the beans at an angle, it'll help wear the sickle more evenly and will help keep the machine full which will help it clean better.

    • @wilsonfordtv2863

  • @Northfarmer1725

    love the videos keep up the great work, try cutting beans at an angle, they feed better, head drags less (in damp conditions) and wears the sickle more even. Also sickle sections dont commonly need replaced unless broken. "dull" ones still cut fine its when the are broke they are an issue. just some advice

    Cut your beans at an angle. They feed better and wear the head more evenly. Also we had a setup very similar to yours. Running at least 3.0 mph shouldn’t be a problem and it helps keep the machine full which causes it to do a better job separating

    When things break you have to learn fast. And yea having break downs start to hurt your time and profit. Then the rain and stuff does not help. I wish you luck and hope you can make it in this very hard time we live in now.

  • @keatenchinadle986

    I know everyone has there different ways to start a combine up. But it is easier on you header if you start that and then turn on the separator so the header doesn’t slam into gear. That will help with your PTO’s not rounding off and breaking.

    • @strandedkansan8367
      @strandedkansan8367 2 роки тому

      Our 9560 won't let you engage the head if the separator isn't running. Just so long as your engine is at low idle it's fine.
