You can not get better than British Hammer Horror, they were the best
Indeed
I agree with you totally.
"Twins of Evil" 1971
@@namvet1968we have something in common: you ' I & thousands upon thousands; Hammer Horror!
They just don't get any better ' I think you have started something so I will add to it,
Kiss of the vampire-1963.
I must add a very Good Year!
@@KNT.63 MY BEST WAS I THINK THE VERY FIRST MOVIE " HORROR OF DRACULA " ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE I REMEMBER PEOPLE COMING FROM LATE NIGHT SHOW WOULD SCREAM IF SOMEONE TOUCHED THEM.
I can't go past any movie starring both Pete C. and Chris L. together.
Thanks a bunch *CineClips.*
Yeah, same here!
ME TOO!!! They made a great team..
And Patrick Troughton (who I met)
agree 100 percent
Me too
Absolutely great classic. Love Cushing and Lee together.
Classic? How?
@@sjefhendrickx2257 honey, if you do not know what a classic is, then I suggest you go back to school or get an education.
@sjefhendrick
😁😆😆
You're right. They've got their classics mixed up. Megaira, Tisiphone and Alecto were FURIES, not Gorgons. The Gorgons were Stheno, Euryale and Medusa, the last, of course being beheaded by Perseus using a polished shield as a mirror, so as not to look at her face.
Or, as my daddy said, just like the morning after the wedding. Classic mistake. @AndriyValdensius-wi8gw
@@bedi5338Nicole Kidman and Christopher Lee starred in Golden Compass (2007)
I was rather impatient waiting for Christoper Lee to make his appearance. He, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price were the best actors 😍
They were the best in Horror movies😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
@@CandieMcfrazier-ic5xb For some reason, I love the horror movies they were in but I absolutely am unable to watch horror movies otherwise!😅
All three were very classy gentlemen that loved their work and their fans fully. These three knew they weren't in Oscar films but much loved by the general public. Still loved to this day.
I love watching this film. Its very clever how they filmed the huge spooky castle. You only really see the entrance and a little bit inside but thats enough as the viewer can just imagine what the rest of the castle must be like.
@@EdRushing-te3sc agree👍☺
A much underrated classic. Christopher Lee is great playing a rare good guy part!
Yeah he really excelled here. As good as he is in The Devil Rides Out, I think this is the best "heroic" Lee performance.
It was a very good film. It was a whodunit meets Hammer Horror, but made a change from the usual Dracula / Frankenstein. The story was engrossing. As a horror it was so so, but as a study in small town politics and paranoia, it was very good. Peter Cushing did sometimes do creepy villains and he made an excellent dodgy doctor.
Check out " the devil rides out" he is a super goodie in that
Really. I thought it was silly.
@@riley-arr-g Because it has a mixed reception from critics, including Christopher Lee.
What I like about these classics are whether it's morning, noon, night, or in bed there are always dressed up.
Yes and thinner.
The "Hammer glamour" was something to behold.
Yes, when a scene had to be spooky or ominous in daytime, they let the thunder roll in the distance when the sun was shining...fun... really hammer!
@@jimmylight4866 I noticed that, too. People didn't have food like there is today, shelves full of poor nutrition, and they actually walked places. Times have changed and not for the better for physical health of Americans.
@@conniewojahn6445 I spend a lot of time watching WW2 documentaries and my observations have led me to conclude that people in the 1930's and 40's were smaller and leaner than we are today but also pound for pound stronger.
This is all pre-fast food, pre hfcs and the proliferation of chemicals in the food chain.
Plus many were used to doing manual labor and came from an agrarian background.
It's just interesting.
Any movie that stars both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing is solid gold. My favorite actors in these movies!!!
Peter Cushing was an actor of his time, he made so many great films, of which this is one.
He was in 1948 Hamlet with Olivier.

Indeed!!
Indubitably
Always a great movie with 2 of Britain's finest horror stars. Cushing and Lee .
A Hammer film as old as I am that I'd not previously seen? How could this be?
Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and his Fighting Hair and a great bonus Patrick Troughton!
Thank you for sharing, fair made my night!!!
Don't miss out Barbara Shelley! When I first discovered Hammer this film seemed like an oddity, but nowadays I feel like it's one of their most interesting and original horrors...

Can't get enough classic British horror and sci Fi ! Great flik
Always have loved these films and the actors, but mostly the lessons learned, one of which is when you hear a haunting voice singing out in the woods at night, you don't go trying to find it - that just never turns out well.
Tubi tv has lots of Hammer titles
I loved these movies 30 years ago and have put off rewatching them for fear they would not stand up. But they are even better than I remember.
You're not alone: back in the 50s-70s Hammer was widely viewed as a bit disreputable, but with the passage of time its classics have come into their own as cinematic gems, its directors, writers, cinematographers, actors and composers rated among the best in the business for all the studio's financial limitations.
When i first saw this movie it scared the hell out of me, That eerie music and the typically authentic looking Hammer sets, Plus the gorgeous Barbara Shelley was a top drawer beauty.
Top marks on all three counts! I'd say though that here the sets went beyond the regular Hammer fare into a timeless otherwordliness that works well with the mythological subject-matter. The whole film stands apart, a true one-off.
Yes. Notice the women were all so beautiful and feminine.
My fav Hammer movie. Lee, Cushing and Barbara Shelley. ❤
Shelley is gorgeous in this one!
Excellent movie,excellent script,excellent characters performances,A true classic
"Twins of Evil" 1971
What is stopping people from making films like this anymore?
Just great actors and likeable characters with an absorbing storyline and atmosphere.
I guess because this film was so long ago it can be looked upon as somewhat closer to the time depicted in this movie, which adds something more special to it.
Still,i wish Hollywood or someone else would start making these sort of horrors again.
These actors are long gone. You can't make these any more.
Humans have changed. Everything has to do more with action than with feelings
The audience is too dumbed down to appreciate subtlety.
Simple raw talent. Doesn't exist anymore....
@@johnpendarvis7885 sad but true...has anyone seen the Kardashians recently LOL
Great classic film , Peter Cushing , Christopher Lee never fails to give a wonderful performance . Thanks for posting , it is nice to see old classic movies once in a while .
The artistry of Hammer Films is undeniably original. You can tell it’s a Hammer Film in the lighting and color alone .
Not to mention the lush sets and costumes
Lee & Cushing at Hammer's finest. Molto grazie for posting!
You know I started watching this Movie Knowing exactly you dies first and who the gorgon is, But with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, its a no brainer.. Love all these movies from Hammer Horror.
Hammer really excelled here in every department. Especially set design .!
No one - even with budgets 20 times larger than Hammer - has equalled their
ability in creating genuinely atmospheric Gothic sets . Music was perfect and what a cast . ! This is one of their best !!
The best! And ironically it's from a time when they were short of cash and re-using every resource they could put to work! Creativity trumps megabucks every time.
Thanks Barry Norman
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushion. How many frights they gave me. They are (were) my favorite actors.
Brilliant amazing acting.Sad they lost the ability to make movies like this ❤❤
They certainly do have the ability.
It's just that they refuse to.
Can't have the sheeple using their brain cells, they may wake up, and realize what's going on around them.
They did, thankfully the movies today are much better than The Gorgan, lol.
@@AquamentusLivesyou mean a bunch of CGI garbage with actors who aren’t even fit to make commercials?

For those interested look up Christopher lee's military history very very interesting a great man
He had a massive collection of books on the occult. Great man. Related to Ian Fleming

You've been listening to the mainstream media babble. Lee said himself that he only has two books on the occult in his house.
Thanks for uploading this film, I think it’s an overlooked Hammer classic.
The Gorgon is the the best of all the Hammer horror film still remember seeing back in the 70s when I was 14. Chilling atmosphere suspenses some sinister luring round the corner. Great performance by Christopher Lee Perter Cushing Patrick Troughton all round good cast give it four ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ .
Barbara Shelley began her film career in Rome where she stayed for four years. Her best girlfriend there was Ava Gardner. What a sight when those two hit the town together !
She was exquisite!
I love all the Hammer films and the actors thank you!

Classic Hammer, With Peter Cushing and Chris Lee!!!!
R.I.P. Christopher Lee
Two great actors. Rip
Im 54 and my mom had me at 45. I was so blessed to be raised by a depression baby who knew how to survive and had a deep passion for the classics of cinema and books. She introduced me to Charlton Heston, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Clark Gable, etc. I absolutely love these old horror Hammer English movies! The Creeping Flesh is my favorite. All this garbage reality TV has totally taken away from the art of acting, it's so sad.
I saw this when I was about 8 years old at the theater. It's a rock solid movie.
😂🤣 I bet it was petrifying.👍🏼
Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee are my favorite actors for paranormal horror movies.
There body of work in films are enormous , whew !
When it comes to British Sci-fi horror movies nothing tops Five Million Years To Earth.
Obra maestra absoluta. Genial la realización de Terence Fisher y excelentes Peter Cushing y Christopher Lee. Un clásico indiscutible de la mítica Hammer Films.❤
I picked up a copy of the Gorgon on VHS from Woolworths 25 years ago for 2.99. I still have it. 😊

Earth Dies Screaming is a fantastic film.Quite short, but not a minute wasted!
One of the most underrated and extraordinary works of the great Terence Fisher. Excellent acting, exquisit set design an esplendid cinematography of Michael Reed.

Great classic movie 🎦 - Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Barbara Shelley, Patrick Troughton, Jack Watson, all great actors🎭. (Sorry if I've missed anyone, not intentional.)
It's a beautiful movie to watch. Thank you.
What I like most about classic films? No profanities whatsoever! Love the dialogues. These days every sentence has either the F or S word inserted in it. (Sigh)
And Received Pronunciation! Music to my ears, nowadays speech is so garbled up.
yeah that’s because as africa has invaded europe the liberals have had to suck backwards thinking in on top of their own
This has made my day. Love this movie

❤❤❤❤❤ yesss Cushing and Lee great actors .
Remarkably entertaining film. I love the four alpha male roles played by Cushing, Lee, Troughton and Pasco disagreeing and refusing to cooperate with each other with lines like "... come to the police station!" "I shall do no such thing!"
So love ❤Hammer productions, Cushing and Lee at their best! Don’t remember this one!❤️
This is a major classic movie . Well done and thanks 🙏
Awesome! It doesn't get any better than the Hammer classics with great actors.
Definitely one of my favorite Hammer films. The atmosphere is so mysterious and foreboding!
If I was to think of my favourite British actor, it would be Christopher Lee.
He achieved so much in his illustrious career. Truly a Legend
I love these Hammer film productions, they're the best . Of course every good man of medicine and science should have at least 5 bottles of pink stuff setting around ye 'ole laboratory .
My grandmother would love this
When I was watching Hammer movies in the 60's Christopher Lee scared the bejesus out of me as Dracula ( I saw it in the movies) and wore a rosary around my neck for a week. lol Peter Cushing played a great hero and I miss them both. Their legacy is still here for us to enjoy.
I've come away from all the Hollywood bs. Well, years ago, never once have I been disappointed either finding new classics, or re-watching the films I love... I'd rather watch this five hundred times, than another sickly blockbuster.
British Hammer Horror Films ... a Rainy Friday Night ... the dog snuggling beside me !!! You cannot go wrong !!!! Now if it was just a cold winters night !!!❤❤❤
I am a long time fan of Hammer Horror films. They are so well-written and the actors give a top drawer performance. I am especially a fan of the look and feel, the tempo and so much more; the music flows well with the action. I have watched these over many years. Thank you.
Just when I get excited because of the old Columbia logo, I see the Hammer Films tag and had to catch my breath. Hammer was amazing. As horror movies go, they were the A24 of their day.
And that opening score? It doesnt get any better for classic horror.
At last 🎉my god I’ve been searching this every day on YT for years as it’s not available on any streaming platforms…..thanks buddy for the upload 🙏💙

I would not have recognized Christopher Lee if it were not for his voice. It never changed.
Christopher Lee as a good guy! That didn’t happen very often.
Rest In Peace Grand Moff Tarkin and Count Dooku.
They will be missed. 😥
Also Peter Diamond, who was the fight arranger in this movie. He was fight arranger in A New Hope, & played the Tusken Raider who attacked Luke.
He was also a Cantina patron, a Stormtrooper, & a Death Star trooper.
In Empire he played a Snowtrooper gunner, & lead stormtrooper.
In Jedi he was the biker scout who fell off the speeder bike, a stormtrooper & also Weequay Jabba's skiff master.
And the Second Doctor!

Pretty cheesey, mon gar 🧀
These Hammer Horror films are the best. They are the masters of good old fashioned atmospheric horror films. Way better than the universal ones. Cushing and Lee....a perfect team.
Never been able to find this previously. Thank you so much!
Definitely expected Lee and Cushing to be together in more scenes in this film.
But, still a great film, overall.
Forget Peter and Christopher - Barbara Shelley is lovely in this film. She's great in Rasputin too.
Great fun! My dad and I used to sit up late on Friday and Saturday nights watching classics like this. Good times. Thanks so much for sharing.
I remember seeing this on one of those Saturday Night BBC2 Horror Double-Bills back in the 1980s. While it's not absolutely perfect, it has a great story that made a change from the usual monsters and therefore a very different lore and feel. The music is extremely eerie. Great cast. Aside from the Hammer regulars, we had Richard Pascoe as the hero, and Patrick Troughton, I think filmed around the same time he was also Doctor Who on TV.
I don't think they ever made a bad movie, just "good" and "great".
They also all had a certain "look" about them, that I think was a big part of it, along with all of the classically trained actors, directors, and screenwriters.
This can no longer be duplicated with the idiots that now run the film industry, due to the dumbed-down agenda that has been forced down everyone's throats for the last 40 years or so.
Not only idiots but lacking integrity
Apparently, Peter Cushing, after his wife had died, loved and missed her so much that he insisted on having a picture of her on set- usually on his desk if there was one.
The picture of the man I love who died in 2024 is on my desk. It's always gonna be on my desk.
I grew up watching Hammer films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
The settings were also so well portrayed and the storylines were pure comic book stuff, I thoght.
Don't think I've seen this one before, that's tonight's movie sorted 😂.I've recently watched Peter Cushing in a non horror movie called Cash on Demand (youtube) absolutely loved it..theres 2 channels showing it but one of them has the first 10 minutes missing ,well worth checking out..
Great movie. I'm 70, and this is the first time seeing it.
I saw it on TV in my teens as part of a late-night Hammer season and then never saw it repeated, but that was enough to get me hooked: still their best.
Marvelous film. I've never seen this film before. Cushing and Lee is great. Thanks for sharing this great film 🎬🇫🇮
Saw this when I was 12 on TV (BBC2 Friday nights Horror Double Bill). Awesome !
Thanks. Wasn’t familiar with this one. Anything with Cushing and Lee is worth watching.
Incredible atmosphere and staging. The art of making films like this has sadly been lost.
Wonderful stuff. This is one of my faves. Great quality upload too!I love the fact that Hammer had their own original monster. That is to say, it's not the Wolfman, Mummy or anything Universal had previously explored. Different versions of The Gorgon creature could have returned in different time periods. Great performances all round, especially Lee, Cushing and Shelly, who is criminally underrated.
