Love your tutorials. I'm a lightroom user and still getting confident using it. Photoshop seems so incredibly complicated. I try and try but just can't grasp the layers at all.
Like your style of tutoring. and YAAY! '0' music! I cannot stand it when I am attempting to concentrate! It helps my concentration a lot and I can actually understand what you are saying! New Subber. Thanks much! :)
The only "yeah, but" I can add is the lighting direction. It still comes from the front on the woman whereas the lighting is really from behind and on her left.
Hey Anthony. Big fan from Down Under. Just a quick question: Have you noticed that recently in LRC (Desktop) that when you click on the tab, photo, then "edit in" and select PS the image doesn't load into PS? It's driving me crazy. I have a cloud subscription and everything is always up to date. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I have used that function for years without an issue. Maybe it's because the drop down from "photo" and then "edit in" has Photoshop (Beta)?....thanks again for your great tutorials mate.
I've tried using this a few times, I do a lot of compositing, but so far, all it's given me has been bizarre, nothing close to fitting in with the rest of the scene.
You are helping a lot of people with your efforts BUT With my greatest respect for your effort. she does not look close to belonging in the photo. And essentially all you did with all those steps was turn down the brightness. Your first step with that type of background would have bee to use the Magic Wand tool and click on the background and then hit delete. Easy and you made it very complicated and I cannot imagine why. PNG Her alone and save. Bring her back in to the music seen. Now she is not close to matching what the musicians look like in how bright there clothing and face or direction that light is coming from or reflecting off her. You needed less lighting brightness on her left from our view and more on her right and especial where the spots lights from the room. would hit her. on her with lighting from our right of her from the spots. Now you use your key controls and that is great , but nobody will remember those unless they sit there and write them down. and then memorize. But if you show where these things are in that control panel up top It would be easier to remember. Now there is reference. If you want to guide someone as to Key controls for them to learn that is a different story as to where they can get the book on Key Controls . I give your overall effort far less than a class 101. Not good for what you wanted to achieve with the picture . You could have made this much simpler and far better. But keep up the good work. A lot of people will learn some things from you . And PS, I only know rudimentary Photoshop and not even the new version.
This feature is a real piece of shit man. lol. The Adobe event made it seem like it was going to add rim lighting and colors. This is just a tone curve adjustment at best.

Thanks! Very clear with helpful information about making selections.
The only "yeah, but" I can add is the lighting direction. It still comes from the front on the woman whereas the lighting is really from behind and on her left.
Very useful as usual thank you

TBH the old Match Color function does a far better job...
Thanks

Liked the video. Gave me a few helpful hints.
But to be honest, this example was not the greatest. The woman still seems to be very out of place.
