- I wouldn't normally be here at Denton station, but i had some business to attend to at Bredbury and thought i would call by and check out this interesting station. Im glad i did! Two freights and two doubleheaders, and both would experience problems just ahead. What were the chances of that?
Very nice Video! Thumbs Up!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed! Cheers Nick.
Well Nick you will be getting labelled a jinx by the folks at Denton. First time there filming and look what happens 😆Still, it was a great video mate, two double headers is a great catch. Thanks for sharing and have a good, safe week. Best regards, Colin.
Cheers Colin, you know i do feel partly responsible! So utterly strange to have two freights that end up with issues, doubleheaders and first time at this Station hmm! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
Excellent video footage from Denton Nick. 👍👍 Cheers - Allan.
Many thanks, cheers Allan, glad you enjoyed, cheers Nick.
Lovely Nick. Double headers, Shame about the derailing. You don't tend to here about them in the ordinary news.
Agreed Stuart it was known around the Northwest, in the Manchester evening news, eight wagons derailed, so line shut possibly for months. It is a freight only line luckily. Cheers Nick.
Very nice indeed 👍👍👍
Thanks Barrie, certainly different!
Well Nick it's definitey not every day that happens. Issues on both! Superb shots and captures there. Another gooden from you! Nice to see two DH, who wouldve thought Hope St derails and 779 had problems! Very nice indeed! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Take care, have an awesome day and all the best! Jamie
Thanks so much Jamie you're absolutely right! I wouldn't normally have been there in the first place! So unusual. Have s great wet day and hope you get 418 and friend! Cheers Nick.
@RedShedNick Anytime Nick! Absolutely, definitely an odd one, that bridge is knackered though. And you! Yes caught it not bad she was leading and nice to see! Hope you caught it. Cheers, Jamie
Great catches Nick👍but drivers might be abit worried if they see you videong now 😬😂
Cheers Phil, yes i had thought of that hmmm, maybe give it a rest for now, that is GBRf of coarse! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend, cheers Nick.
Hi Nick, some good shots there (did Jack Frost find out what the cause was for the derailment ) lol 😂 cheers Al
Haha cheers Al not sure at the moment, the whole infrastructure is not good on our ageing railways, lets see, thanks for watching cheers Nick.
Nice double double headers there Nick, sounds like those drivers had a bad day. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great week
They certainly did Barry especially the Hope st (Salford) line shut possibly for months, knackered Bridge, it was knackered before the derailment! Hsve s great day, cheers Nick.
I don't know what to say Nick, its not good for GBRf as I believe the one line in your area is closed.
I could say you was in the right place at the right time.
Ih definitely Mike, never been to Denton before! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend, cheers Nick.
That was an unfortunate coincidence that both trains ran into problems. Great filming of the double headers 👍
Many thanks so true, very odd, a bad morning for GB Railfreight! Thanks for watching and have a great day, cheers Nick.
Great shots of the double headers there nick, wasnt GBRfs morning was it, bet they’ll be hesitant to have double headers on here again haha!
There’s a tour on the 21st on the hope valley and should be booked for a black 5!
Your right there Adam, whst a morning hey! Oh cheers, didnt know that, hopefully will be able to go, Reddish? Cheers Nick.
not entirely sure on the route at the moment but we can hope so!
I won’t be able to see it sadly though because I’m on the Severn valley gala that weekend for some rare 44932 action!
The first train didn't seem to be double-headed by choice. Only the first locomotive sounded like it was running.
@@beeble2003second loco under power or not under power would still be classed as a double header, ie triple quadruple etc.
@@RedShedNick Right. But what I meant was that the only reason it was double-headed is that the original locomotive failed, so they had to attach another one. The OP is suggesting that double-heading caused problems for the trains (or, at least jinxed them or something like that) but that's getting the causality backwards for the first train. The first train was double-headed because it had problems; it's not the case that being double-headed caused problems. (And, yes, I realise that the OP isn't claiming that double-heading literally is the cause of any problems.)
Nice video Nick! Ah a derailment, there was one the other day up IN Llandrindod with 2 153s but it's alright now, lovely Sheds and ooo it's 66779, nice liveries on the 2 doubleheaders there
Enjoyed this video
Cheers Callum
@@MrMaguiresTrains cheers Callum glad you enjoyed, yes to get two double headers and two consecutive freights with problems was incredible! Thanks for watching, cheers Nick.
Grand video 👍👍😎
Thank you 👍glad you enjoyed Paco and as always thanks for watching!
2:36 oh dear looks like a derailment and failure to one of the trains has caused the problem
Yes Scott the first one Evening Star failed shortly after and 66747 derailed just passed the station at Denton!
@@RedShedNickyeah

Cheers Sion thanks for watching, Didcot recon that's Redshed country haha, hope so, enjoy.
@@RedShedNick yeah haha good station
I thought that this was a great spot to train spot. It was a Class 66 parade here for you, though I'm sorry about the derailment. That is sad news.
Well the bridge ahead was really to blame Andrew, it was in a poor state even before the derailment, should have been replaced sooner, no good worrying after tbe event. Its a freight inly line luckily, thanks for watching, cheers Nick.
wow Nick thats some rare and unusual footage you got there
Know Digger what were the changes of that, teo consecutive freights and both ending up eith issues! Thanks for watching, hope your keeping well, cheers Nick.
