This is my country. I'll work for 70 hours a week. But the profit will go to my boss, not me or my country.

Even in case of NRN murthy where his children who don't give shit about Infosys got stocks, where freshers with education loan work for 3LPA.

Maybe every CEOs must say, "This is my country, these are my people, I should pay them what they're worth." instead of "My customer is a cheapskate and my investors hope to see better numbers, I should ask my oompa loompas to work more."

The fact we have to lie to take a holiday, speaks a lot about work culture in India.

Great work! The one takeaway I hope people take is Hard Work is not linked to Productivity. Things like Technology, Economy, Money etc play a crucial role. People must be allowed to pursue their passions and not forced to work longer hours. Instead of looking at Japan and China where hard work is glorified, India needs to look at Europe and USA as good examples.

Japan being the pioneers in the industry with high performance and longer working hours of the employees. What goes unnoticed is the mental health of the people there. Skyrocketing suicide rates and death from work.
A lot of these "successful people from work" prioritizes work over other things in life which is their motive and that's good for them but not all people wants to have this hustle culture, some would live life paycheck to paycheck and wants to live life in their own terms "peacefully"

Awesome Video 🔥 Indian employees are constantly overworking but they don’t receive the reward of their hard work. Also Indian companies should encourage workers to prioritize mental health and give them resources if they’re struggling.

When i was in India. I worked according to my salary. If i get a good salary i worked more. But if i get shitty salary i worked according to that. Whatever company i joined i made sure i put a clause in the agreement saying DONT BOTHER ME AFTER OFFICE HOURS. Some companies agreed and some don't. I thought thats the best way to stop ourselves getting exploited. Finally when i moved to USA, I felt like im coming out of a jail.

I live in a big industrial city and here most industrial workers make RS. 12-15000/- while working under harsh conditions such as long hours and extreme temperatures. Moreover, most work is now outsourced to vendors, so they don't get any additional benefits like medical, pf, or leaves.

Great video. One issue is that you mixed entrepreneur prep talk with employee prep talk. Employees doesnt have to work 80 hours like Musk said, but if you are making a company then you should be ready for it, because it is a big responsibility and the company earning is directly proportional to their productivity. Employees trade time for money. And they have little or no stake in the company. So should only work for what they are paid for

Another Good one, Saran - I have done a video on Meritocracy (a small Telugu UA-cam channel) and mentioned the book Tyranny Of Merit by Michael J Sandal. Your video reminded me of the book - the success of a Person, institution, or even a Sport and Sportsperson - which is multifactorial - realizing this makes the meritocratic people humble and the culture more just.

@@SaranCena he also released a UA-cam video on his work (Michael Sandal) - which is little popular with academic institutes in America. You can check that first. Thanks for the wishes on the channel. So far discussed about education system differences here and few health issues for my Telugu Audience.
