This is one of the most haunting films I've ever seen. I first saw it when it opened in 1979 in a very tiny theater in Greenwich Village, NY, and it has stuck with me to this day.
Translation: Come you here. Would you like to drink with us? Be our guest. We all have the plague. For the first time we celebrate every day left to us.
I love this scene because it shows the threat that even 1 vampire poses. They will completely suck the life out of any given community until there's nothing left but overcrowded cemeteries and unchecked vermin.
I was a child when i saw this movie for the first time and until this very moment i couldn t remember its name, but this particular scene haunted me all my life, at some point i thought i dreamed it,because i was hearing the dialogues in romanian and i couldn t remember anything else from it. I am a horror fan so i saw much more frightening scenes, but this one i will never forget. Congratulations to all cast and crew of NOSFERATU for an incredibley well done job!
So much anarchy. The city council of Wismar is disbanded and the mayor of Wismar is dead. "Nosferatu" made this scene a vision of anarchy. Lucy is just so helpless seeing this anarchy.

Corona brought me here.
One of the most intriguing scenes I've ever seen, strange and beautiful! Werner Herzog is a genius!

Brilliant scene. Herzog strips off the pretense of society which is decimated the moment it encounters the forces of nature.
Seeing this film for the first time stoned out of my mind was life changing
Turn on the news today and put this song on, it’s chilling
This is a georgian folk song tsintskaro.
Taking nothing away from the 1922 original but I truly believe this is best version. This is genuinely one of the eeriest movies I have ever seen
this is maybe one of the most beautiful sequences in all of film
The main scene of the film. An ode to life. You have to think about dead to undestand the meaning of the life. Herzog is genious.
One of my fav. scenes of all time. Just breathtaking. Everything fits together perfectly here. The angles, the music. It's so ethereal in a way
The best vampire movie ever made.
